Server was inattentive (seemed annoyed we were there), slow to serve, we waited over an hour for food and he never checked on us. The restaurant was not busy at the time either (maybe 5-6 tables). Very disappointed.

Absolutely loved having dinner here! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, and the service was excellent. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Drinks and food were wonderful - my favorite being the rabbit fusilli pasta. Lovely setting! Slight service issue with one of the dishes but handled very gracefully. Appreciated the special birthday touches too - thanks so much!

We dined here in honor of Kristen Kish. The food was beautiful and delicious. Paired it with a Sauvignon Blanc and it enhanced the flavor. We will be back.

A bit overpriced for food quality. Mostly a place that's convenient for the people who are staying at the hotel. Wouldn't personally recommend to a local.

Awful server. Bad food. Server recommend a drink that taste like bad meat, then when left with it proceeded to straw taste it thought his whole shift behind the bar. Tables waters were empty almost the whole night, waited 25+ minutes between drink orders. Serve got mad and snarky when we said we didn’t like our pork chop when it was intact besides one bite. Refused to take it off the 17oz steak that was also not good and only had 2-4 bites missing. Only took off our pasta which we loved and said did not need to be taken off. The fish was awful, rubbery and needed a knife and a sawing motion to cut through it. $700 tab we had zero issue paying but only for the things we ate, but wasn’t allowed to get the food we didn’t eat off. Rip off, save your time and money.

Of course I was expecting a lot. It was a big restaurant and I had asked for a quiet booth not realizing there were tables with views of lady bird lake where, if there had been bats last night, you could see them. There were plenty of empty tables at 7 so the hostess moved us, but sh had to be persuaded. The plates are shared. The mushrooms were outstanding, the burrata good, the item billed as gazpacho interesting . The pasta dishes were tasty. The snapper was good, but for a shared plate, the portion was too small. I don't think Kristen would have won topcheff with any of these dishes. The desserts were just not good. The ice cream was not identifiable tho the menu mentioned coconut and the melon meringue was OK, tho too sweet and too much meringue. I don't live in Austin, so won't be back.

Hi. Kristen kish would not have won top Chef with these dishes. The mushrooms were good, the pastas were good. I really didn't think the desserts were edible. The melon meringue was overpowered bthe way too sweet meringue and we couldn't identify any taste in the so called sourdough ice cream. No coconut. Just kinda tasteless and an unappealing color. Restaurant is too big. Just cavernous. Off the open entrance to a hotel. Cut the restaurant in half. I live in houston and another top Chef winner has opened restaurants here, the blind goat. Really good. So I was very disappointed in arlo grey.

Worst Meal of Our Lives. No Exaggeration.

This was hands down the worst meal either of us has ever had. Period. From the moment we sat down, something was off. Our waiter rolled up with, “Hopefully no one else comes in so I can clock out early.” Bro, what? That was the first red flag. If your own staff is praying for an empty restaurant, that should tell you everything.

But we stayed. Big mistake.

We’re staying at The LINE and had a $100 dining credit, so we figured we’d give Arlo Grey a try. I wish I had just lit that $100 on fire instead. Would’ve been a better experience.

We ordered a salad, duck pasta, and the chicken. The salad came out looking like wet dog food tossed in sauce. It had a ton of flavor—just all of it bad. Sloppy, confusing, and disgusting.

The duck pasta was next-level trash. They put lettuce in it. Why is there lettuce in hot pasta? The cheese on top couldn’t even save it—it was salty, weird, and tasted like a Walmart frozen dinner that someone tried to dress up but made worse.

Then the chicken showed up. Visually? Fine. Taste? Garbage. Dry. Bland. And the side? Some pickled okra mess that made us sad. Legitimately sad. We actually felt bad for the chicken that died just to be butchered by whatever “chef” thought this dish made sense. It was disrespectful to the bird.

The only edible thing was the Diet Coke—and they charged us $5 for each tiny glass. Are you kidding me? $10 for a couple sips of soda to wash down a disaster of a meal?

The lemonade? Alexa took one sip and wanted to cry.

This place is a masterclass in overhyped failure. They’re trying so hard to be “creative” they forgot how to make food that actually tastes good. It’s like a bunch of people in the back are just winging it and laughing while they serve overpriced garbage.

Chef may have clout, but she clearly stopped tasting the food a long time ago. This meal was so bad we talked about it the rest of the night—out of pure shock.

I love this hotel, but I won’t be staying here again just because of how offensively bad the restaurant is. It was that bad. Absolutely unforgettable—for all the wrong reasons.

Refined lakeside dining in The LINE Hotel. Artistic plating and rich, thoughtful flavors.

Loved it. Very impressed with Celeste as a server! Recommendations and all of the food runners sharing information about each dish was outstanding.

We were a little hesitant because we didn’t see a lot on the menu that really excited us, but we decided to trust that this was the right choice for dinner, and wow, are we glad we pushed outside of our comfort zone. The burrata was fantastic (and it came with sourdough like I’ve never had before - perfect), the crispy rice was OMGfantasticNoNotes, and the chicken…we couldn’t decide on a protein and we were afraid we’d chosen the boring option but no…it was the best chicken I’ve ever eaten. Soooo moist. The breading was sooooo perfect. It was amazing. And then the sourdough ice cream…how could we not try it?? It was amazing.

We had staff checking on us throughout the night (in a completely non-obtrusive way) and they weren’t just going through the motions. They had real interactions and it seriously felt like they wanted to be there. Five different staff members assisted throughout the meal, and it wasn’t because anyone was slacking. They all were incredible.

The atmosphere was great, but just a little more light would have been nice. Trying to hold the drink menu just right to see what I was ordering was a pain. Even just a little brighter candle would be great (you’d hate to use your phone flashlight for fear of blinding the other patrons). But that is all I can think of for improvement.

We’d come back a million times.

Food was very tasty and fresh. Would definitely recommend. The place is not very kid friendly. P

Chef was super gracious, stopped by our table and shared with us dessert recommendations. Also took the time to speak with my son about his aspirations on becoming a chef. Absolutely magical forever moments made. Dinner-premier decadence, everything we ordered (and we ordered from every category on the menu) brilliantly executed with flawless presentation. 10000/10

The food was truly amazing. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. The clear distinctiveness of some of the flavors, while others blended into each other was magical. I first went to Arlo Grey with a work colleague, then returned six days later with my family of five. During both visits, we wound up sharing plates and were absolutely blown away by the flavors and presentation. The service was impeccable, with the staff anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. During my second visit, they remembered that I had recently dined there and again gave us first class treatment. We all felt very special during these magical dinners. Many restaurants overpower with loud music. Here, the music was subtle and seemed incorporated into the food, thus enhancing the dining experience rather than competing with it. This was more than just a meal, it was an experience! We cannot wait to come back.
