I ordered the carnitas taco and it was hands down one of the most disgusting things I have ever consumed. The meat was chopped to the point that it might as well have been pureed. Then it was turned into a near solid glob on the flattop. The first bite I thought I would spit it out. It tasted like it had some kind of baking spice...Nutmeg? Clove? Pumpkin Spice? I don't even know, but it was foul. I tried another bite, maybe I was wrong? Nope. I paid $14.50 for ONE taco and a glass bottle of coke and the 20% gratuity that is automatically included.
The guy was really great, and the patio was super cute. It smelled like sewer at times, but was otherwise cute and comfortable.

The food is good, the customer service is ehh. It used to be my go to but I stop going as much after they add the automatic gratuity. If you’re going force people to tip, the least you can do is take the food to their table. The patio is maybe 200 sq feet, it takes seconds

The worst carnitas we've ever tried. BF couldn't finish his taco, I added a lot of salsa to get any flavor to mine, and had to ask for salt. Friend said his chicken taco was good, but didn't finish his carnitas taco either. We paid around $60 for 2 tacos, chips and dips, 1 topo chico and 1 jarritos... not worth the price.
Queso tasted like beer cheese, the kind you eat with pretzels... service took really long for what we ordered.

This place is a scam! I ordered 2 tacos and a drink which should come out to $18, which is still expensive for tacos, on top of that the workers tip themselves without transparency 30% of of your bill! I paid $24 for 2 tacos and a sparkling water!! The food is also extremely mid, and hardly give you any meat. out of all the places in austin to get tacos do not go here! there are so many better options.
Don’t be fooled by fake positive reviews posted by the owner. It’s obvious by the many 1 star reviews a 5 star experience is not what you receive.
This restaurant doesn’t want to pay their employees livable wages so they leave it in the hands of their customers enforce shady automatic gratuity. Terrible business practice. Sad to see such a scam operate on Rainey
Would actually be happy to see my receipt posted to show the added $6 tip on my $17 meal :)

The food was amazing! HUGE TACOS! The menu is really large and transparent so I don't understand the other reviews being surprised about the tip Policy. I'm happy they try to pay their employees a fair wage! The menu is actually comically large and hard to miss. I recommend the mushroom tacos and the quesadilla.

This was a pretty solid taco establishment while I was downtown in Austin. I had two tacos and they were incredibly tasty, but also insanely greasy. So greasy that it soaked through the paper boat they served it on. The chips are salsa were not a big portion for the price, but the salsa was wonderful. The tacos on the other hand, were hefty in portion and probably needed only one. Overall, a sound spot.

Chicken tacos are fire. Wonderful service from the fella with the buzzcut and mustache and wolf tattoo. Very sweet guy I would buy a million tacos from him

Horrible experience!!! Don’t let the inexpensive price trick you to come here! I’d rather pay $30/person at the Mexican place down the way than the horrible service my family received here!!! I can’t even begin to explain! The manager wanted to have a “show down” with my husband bc our little girl made a small pile of rocks! REALLY?!?! It’s dead! Not one other table is here!!! This guy is keeping Austin RUDE!!!!
Food was not good! They force a 20% tip when they do nothing! They don’t even bring the food to the table. Queso is disgusting!

I'm vegetarian and their cauliflower and mushrooms tacos to die for... and the guacamole and chips 😍. I'm visiting from nyc and have been on austin for 3 days already, and they have the best tasty tacos so far..🩷 these chips taste like they made it there, same with the tortillas

The tacos were amazing, best corn tortilla I’ve ever eaten. We had a variety including chicken, cauliflower and beef.
They were out of several items which was kinda annoying since those items were still posted, including a daily special. The staff member that helped us was pretty standoffish, which no big deal, I don’t know what kind of day he had. But I was a bit miffed when a 20% “tip” was automatically applied to our ticket. Considering it was entirely counter service (order, pick-up, bus your dishes), nothing about it struck me as a 20% service experience.
So as a whole, it ended up feeling a bit overpriced. But like I said, tacos were indeed very good.
