Cute little place off 35 with patio seating. Had dinner here with vegan friends. The service was great!

Asters is one of our favorite ethnic restaurants in town. It’s very family-friendly and the food is delicious; I’d mention favorite items but really everything is good. The decor and atmosphere is low-key casual rather than fancy - which makes the family style dining all the more enjoyable.

Having tried many Ethiopian restaurants (in the Bay Area, CA), Aster's was a surprising and delicious find in Austin, TX! Their weekday lunch buffet is excellent value for money, and every dish is freshly made and full of flavour. Their injera is the real deal, and there are many options for vegetarians as well. The owner is very nice and friendly as well. Love this gem, and will revisit again!

Tried both menu and buffet. Incredibly delicious. I hope to be a regular here.I think buffet hours end at 2pm and are from Tuesday to Saturday if I’m not mistaken. I still highly recommend trying the menu at other hours.

I brought 15 people here with no reservation (Im sorry) and they killed it and I love them. The food: insanely good, beautifully spiced. The drinks: you have to try honey wine!!!Buy too much food and take it home and eat it tomorrow for lunch!!

Delicious! Wonderful, nutricious comfort food. Gluten-free options are especially delicious.Dietary restrictions: Good gluten-free options
I think the 5 star reviews are from people that haven't had Ethiopian food elsewhere. The food is ok, but not great by any means. Much was over-cooked, over-salted, and over-spiced. The environment itself is in the worst condition I have ever seen in this country and in any latin american country. Chairs and booths are literally falling apart. The prices here are no lower than other Ethiopian restaurants in town, but the quality of food and environment is much, much lower. Branch out and get your Ethiopian fix elsewhere. Oh, and parking here is bad, too.

Solid place. Glad they survived pandemic. Indoor seating area is a bit warm on a mild February day. I recommend sitting in the patio space.

When you see the building you might think it’s questionable to eat there just because it’s not a new building. But honestly the food was amazing so yummy. It was my first time eating Ethiopian food… It was a great experience eating with my hands. I really loved it. I definitely will probably be craving this in the future.

The worst Ethiopian food I ever had. We had Kitfo & Tibis with side vegies. Nothing tastes normal.
