Nice place for date night food is amazing I had the spaghetti carbonara and it was amazing. We had a reservation made about 2 hours before the time and it was 715 on a Friday night so it was expectedly busy but you still got to chose where you wanted to sit and the service was lovely the server was so kind and friendly and came up at the same time. My parents came to the opening in the very beginning they have improved so much the food is amazing now.

We have been twice recently. We understand that it has received good reviews and wanted to give it our best shot. The meals were just mediocre. My meal had almost no flavor and the fact that it was a huge amount of food detracted rather than added to the experience. If it had been tasty, we would have been happy for that size of serving so that we could take it home and enjoy it. The bean dip was very runny and made a bad presentation and was not nearly the quality that we are used to. We did like the atmosphere of the restaurant. It felt like a neighborhood experience. Overall, there are too many other choices in Austin to have Italian food, which in our experience have been significantly better.

My wife and I stopped in on a whim and were treated to an outstanding experience by our server, Justin, who has been here for 13 years. Justin expertly guided us through the menu and made suggestions that absolutely enhanced our enjoyment of our meal. We would like to formally suggest that you rename the restaurant after him and buy him a corvette.
We also love your tiramisu. 🤌🤌

A bit overpriced compared to higher rated and more robust menu and bar locations. Nothing to compliain about but not a place I would return again.

Asti is a wonderful place to relax and catch up with good friends, and to enjoy wonderful food and a great wine list. Justin was a courteous and knowledgeable server - word has it he has 13 years on the job! Thanks for a delightful evening - will definitely be back!
I've been eating at Asti since in opened 25? years ago. I love the outdoor dining area. It's quieter than inside and I just like the experience. We were there for my husband's birthday and we couldn't have asked for better service. My husband knocked over his glass of wine, and it was cleaned up and replaced quickly. And dessert of their cheesecake creme brûlée was worth every calorie it cost. Lovely evening.
The food was just okay, which isn't good enough when it costs so much to eat out these days. My dish was pretty good, but my dining companion's chicken dish was tasteless. Literally devoid of any seasoning. I'll say the restaurant was kind enough to remove that charge, but it doesn't change the fact that the food was just meh.

Our server was lovely and the food was good. The food took a long time to arrive and it was not hot when it did. We realize it was a Saturday night but the staff did not keep us informed or acknowledge the delay. We may try again and hope for an overall better experience.
First time back at Asti in years; we've been going to North Italia, but no reservations last night. Asti has a quaint elegance and is clearly a neighborhood favorite with many longtime patrons. Overall food was pretty good. We had the white bean spread, but it was served quite cold and needed more crostini's. We also had the stuffed mushrooms which were quite good, but weren't consistent in size (some were quite small). I had the leek risotto and spouse had the carbonara. Both were very tasty and had generous portions. My spouse said their carbonara was the best they've had in a long time. Prices were comparable with other good Italian. We would go back and eat here again.
Another lovely experience at a long-time neighborhood fave! Delicious food, attentive and informative service, great value.
BE CAREFUL WITH FOOD ALLERGIES
Asked server about a food allergen (mushrooms) when placing order. Server assured us it wasn't in anything we ordered.
When food came out, we asked the runner. They also said it didn't have the ingredient in question, but when back to double check with the kitchen just in case.
Lo and behold... order did end up having mushrooms, which caused a violent allergic reaction.
Irresponsible, negligent service. Overpriced food. Only thing I can't rate is the dessert, because we had to leave early.
Eat at your own peril.

We got here 10 minutes before they closed on a Sunday and they still treated us with the utmost respect. We gave respect and return and only ordered coffees and desserts. Our waitress was a delight. The food was amazing and I'm glad the three of us split two desserts. They were so decadent and Rich. We got the bittersweet chocolate cannoli and the tiramisu.
