We had a relaxing, beautiful tea service. We each tried two different tea flavors. The food and desserts were delicious. But the atmosphere is the best. Beautiful china mixing patterns and colors! It was fun seeing another table of women who wore hats. Perfect!

Austin's English Tea Company is a lovely place to spend a Saturday or Sunday late morning or afternoon. It is located in north Austin inside Michelle's Patisserie. Their open afternoon teas are a great option for couples or a group of friends, and are the perfect activity for the many rainy days we've recently been having in Austin. The main tearoom is very cute and is surrounded by various teaware with several chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The drinkware is very elegant and you can tell that a lot of love went into the planning and preparation of this concept. The food is delicious. Everything from the spongy bread of the tea sandwiches to the savory artichoke and tomato frittata and crumbly scone tasted of very high quality. The tea sandwiches offer traditional English tea specialties like brie with fig relish & arugula and cucumber & cream cheese. Their sweet offerings like the many berry cheesecake in a teacup and millionaire bars are also delightful. The tea itself is tasty and their menu offers flavors for everyone. You are not limited to one tea flavor so we tried the peach white, ginger lime rooibos, coconut oolong, and Earl Gray. My favorite tea was the peach white, however they were all awesome. The portions are great. Upon arrival of the food tray, I naively thought that I would be able to get through everything since I was very hungry. I was not even close, but thankfully was offered bags to savor the remaining treats at home. You can also buy their loose-leaf teas and other tea-related products on their website. Owner Sarah Olano seated and served every party and made us feel at home in her tearoom. If you plan to visit, I would start checking Austin English Tea Company's website the month before you'd like to go, because reservations are required and spots fill up quickly. They also offer special menus for holidays like Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day, so I would check the menu before picking a date.

Sarah made everything so cute and perfect for our birthday tea! Loved all the teas and having so many different pots and yummy treats both savory and sweet. Love that it is small and intimate with each tea cup and pot being unique and beautiful. Highly recommend! Definitely more fun if you dress up with hats and fascinators as well. Thank you!

High tea at its best! A very enjoyable, authentic, and delicious afternoon tea! This is a hidden gem in Austin. This afternoon tea brought me right back to when I lived in London. It is good value for money compared to some of the high teas that I have been to. There is a great selection of teas and Sarah was very helpful with my choices. The service is very attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. The sandwiches, quiches, scones and cakes were sooooo delicious. I loved the quiches, but the scones were so yummy!! I loved the decor and taking photos with the fun, vibrant backgrounds. This is definitely a must experience if you have never been to an afternoon tea. It is great for fun day out with friends, but would be perfect for special occasions like a baby shower or birthday. You can also buy china, tableware, and broken china jewlery! I got a pair of cute earrings! You do have to book in advance because they are very busy. I will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time attending this parlor! Sarah, the owner, was very accommodating (made vegan alterations) for myself! The service, pastries, teas, and vibe were stellar. Will make it a point to visit when I’m back in town ❤️Vegetarian options: She made the scones and tea sandwiches vegan!Dietary restrictions: Since I’m vegan, I asked the owner what could be done, and she made as many substitutions as possible. She did a wonderful job!Parking: Even on busy days where the neighboring stores and eateries can get busy, I had no issue finding parking.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly! There was a table full of kids with their parents!Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp near Crown Trophy that should allow for easy entry to Michelle’s Patisserie.

Our experience having Afternoon Tea was fantastic. One person in our party is hard of hearing and limited in mobility, and we were comfortably accommodated. The food and tea were both amazing. I look forward to visiting the store when it is open to try some of the baked goods, too! 10/10

Had a wonderful time at High tea. We celebrated my sister's birthday and our Irish twin celebration. We tried Oolong coconut tea and berry tea. We enjoyed tea sandwiches and treats ranging from savory to sweet. Our hostess was truly lovely. English accent and all. We will be doing this again in January. Highly recommend.

The best afternoon tea in Austin!!! We have been coming to Austin English Tea's afternoon tea for a few years now to celebrate events or simply to catch up with friends over scrumptious sweets, scones, finger sandwiches, and wide array of teas! Sarah Olano's food and tea spread is always delicious and reasonably priced! Michelle's Patisserie is a cute spot - and sets the perfect setting for any celebration Afternoon tea at Austin English Tea Company is always a delicious outing.

My friend and I had been trying for months to get a reservation for tea here, and we finally got one for today-- COMPLETELY WORTH THE EFFORT! The table settings are charming, everyone there seemed to be having a great time, and the tea and food were DELICIOUS! While everything was very tasty, my favorite food item was the tomato and feta frittata. Perfect texture, incredibly flavorful, and served at a perfect temperature. I could have easily eaten several of those. I also really enjoyed the scone with clotted cream and jam. We asked for extra clotted cream and they cheerfully obliged. For our teas, we had the English Breakfast and Coconut Oolong. They were both lovely. I definitely want to come back again soon. It was a great experience.

Austin English Tea Company is a must for your special events and high afternoon tea! We had the most memorable high tea "party" to celebrate my daughter's "Sweet 16" birthday. Everyone was highly impressed by the service and beautiful details of the room, tea, food, and china/ tableware. I greatly appreciate being able to purchase an English China Teacup for my daughter to always remember this special day. While I do not typically drink tea... I loved the tea here! It must be the extra love and care that Sarah puts into everything. We look forward to being back soon!

Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea - very traditional service in a cute setup. It's a cozy spot, borrowed from a patisserie, but decorated to theme. The finger sandwiches, petit desserts and scones were on point as was the tea selection. I am vegetarian and gluten-free and she did an amazing job accommodating me without feeling any substitute was less than the original option. I'm grateful for having this!
