We went on a Saturday evening expecting to have a long wait and to our surprise, we ordered fairly quickly and didn’t have to wait long for our food. We had the S&P Shrimp and Catfish. It was seasoned deliciously and we were very satisfied. Cassandra was amazing and attentive. We also tried the red velvet cheesecake cake. Please order one for dine in and one to go, it’s that good. We will be back whenever we’re in the area again.

Got food poisoning from the fried shrimp. 3 of 6 shrimp were bad so only ate 1/2 of meal and still got food poisoning.

Today was my first time at this establishment and everything was phenomenal! The restaurant was spotless and the staff are so friendly. I ordered the S&P Chicken and Waffles on their brunch menu. It came with 4 wings battered and fried to PERFECTION!! The outsides were light and crispy and the chicken itself was not dry in the slightest. I believe there was some kind of sautéed green onion/chili garnish on top of the chicken that really put that item alone over the top for me. The WAFFLE! Upon first bite I lit up. I have never had a waffle that is crisp on the outside and fluffy with body on the inside. It was almost giving donut and I loved it. There were some great vanilla notes and it was politely sweet like a pastry without syrup. There were also a couple pieces of bacon, 2 eggs and grits that were seasoned exceptionally. The grits could’ve used a dash of salt, but honesty I feel like their intention was to make sure they didn’t overpower the flavors of the other items on the plate, and I’m all here for it!

Sitting down with my gf for our first experience. Had a pina colada and shrimp and grits and could not possibly be happier. The shrimp and grits is one of the most flavorful dishes I’ve ever eaten. The pina colada is perfectly frozen and sweet, it will catch you off guard after you reach the bottom so be careful! 5 huge stars, North Austin needed a place like this.

Delicious! This place is a little hidden gem. Amazing food, I tried the grilled catfish. It was flaky, mild and cooked to perfection. The homemade sauces (tarter and cocktail), best I’ve had. Definitely a recommend.

This vibe is very NOLA! There was Salsa, tequila tasting, and the best daiquiris we have had outside of Lousiana. We haven't had the food but it smelled like heaven. Definitely a cool spot.

I love this place! Hot fresh catfish!!! Yasss!! Love the music. We just don't have black owned restaurants like this in Austin. I support this fully. They do need workers so service can run smoother but other than that. I had great experiences each time I've visited.
