My wife and I visited while in town for the 2024 eclipse. We stopped for a quick drink and some chips and queso at an outdoor table before walking the park close by. The drinks were very good and the queso was excellent. I can't remember the name of our server but he was extremely friendly and did a good job of making sure we were taken care of. We really liked the vibe of this place and would likely come again if we end up in town again sometime in the future.

I love Irish Pubs, but this place just wasn't it for me. The decor was cool, and the queso was decent, but just about everything else was a turn off for me.I was hoping they'd have a pretzel, they didn't. They only had a few appetizers and they weren't even listed on the online menu. They include a "wellness" tax. Which I hate. I think just increase my beer by 50¢ instead of charging a wellness tax since you apparently aren't a responsible owner enough to pay your employees benefits without charging a wellness tax. Also my beer was $8.50 which felt pretty expensive.

Unfortunately, our experience here was less than exceptional. Server was nice but only saw him twice (when ordering and when paying). We didn’t have any silverware for about 10 minutes after receiving our food, appetizer plates/trash stayed on the table throughout the meal, waters were never refilled. Fish & chips was bland, Reuben was entirely over-sauced and falling apart. Quality of food was not at all worth its price tag. ☹️

We went for St. Patty's Day, not the best day of the year to visit any Irish establishment, but all was good. The wait was an hour long, but once inside, staff was friendly, service was quick, food was good, and we plan to return to try other dishes.

Hello There

To whom it concerns:My family and I went to your establishment on Tuesday evening. Your location is 30 minutes out-of-the-way, but we made the trek as my wife had been craving potato skins, and when conducting a search for the best in Austin, we saw reviews stating yours were top notch. That legitimately was the only reason that we decided to go.The first impression wasn’t entirely favorable as it was freezing inside the restaurant. The AC and the fans were going and it wasn’t warm enough for either. We chose a table to sit at but quickly had to move because it was too cold where we were at.Quickly a server tended to us. He was very friendly, but not very knowledgeable. All he could say was that the things we inquired about where the things that he ate there. He took our order; nachos, potato skins, the chicken strip appetizer, fish and chips, French dip, a Dr Pepper, and 2 1/2 sweet tea/unsweet teas. The drinks came out quickly, but it took a little longer than it should’ve to get the potato skins and nachos. The potato skins were a big disappointment. They were so small with mostly oily cheese. Almost no garnishment on top. The nachos had the same oily rubbery cheese on top. It was so bad that it actually came off in one solid piece across the nachos. When looking underneath there were barely any beans and even less tomatoes. The fish and chips and French dip came out soon after. The fish was mostly batter and dripping oil. The fries that were underneath were hardly edible as they were saturated with oil and the juice from the coleslaw. The French dip meat was burnt around the edges, about an inch in, so much so it was actually black, and the meat itself was rubbery. You would take a bite and couldn’t actually pull it apart. The whole piece of meat would come out of the sandwich instead. In case you missed, what I just said… Only the fish and chips and the French dip came out. The chicken strip appetizer was nowhere to be found. We kept looking for our server, but he was nowhere to be found either. When he did come within eyesight, I motioned him over and asked where my son‘s meal was. He said that the kitchen messed up and put something on it and had to remake it. It was at least ANOTHER 20 minutes before this showed up.The chicken itself was really good, but the fries were cold and hard. That’s how they were on each of our plates with the exception of the ones that were coated in oil and coleslaw juice. For those that we attempted to eat, we didn’t even have ketchup for them. As our table, and all surrounding tables had ketchup bottles that barely had remnants in them.My wife let the server know that she was unhappy with her sandwich, and he asked if she wanted anything else. We said no, as it had already taken very long time to get our entire meal.We were ready to leave, but had to wait for some time for the check as the server never actually came over on his own to check on us. When we got the check, my wife left a lengthy note on the back of one of the receipts with a snippet of what had happened along with her email address. Hoping, that management would reach out. Since nobody has, I have now taken the liberty. My wife’s sandwich was removed from the bill, but it was still around $70. Hardly worth it, considering the lack of everything.

Just a reminder, the pub does NOT take reservations, nor can they "save" a special table for your team on quiz nights. There is a mix of bar, hightop, low table, indoor and outdoor seating, and if you have a strong preference for seat or table type or location, please arrive EARLY to secure your desired spot. (Tables are almost always full by 6:45 or 7 at the latest). Thanks for your cooperation on this, and for making TC's Trivia the best Pub Quiz in town! ??

It is always the premier Irish Pub in the Austin area. The food never fails and the service is always great. I miss The pub being on sixth street, But I miss a lot of things about the old 6th St.

It was a great day to dine outside, and this place was packed when we came. We found a table outside (you have to seat yourself, and a server will come to you when you're noticed). The table we sat at was a little sticky, and the service was not great. Someone came by to ask what we wanted to drink relatively quickly, but it went downhill from there. My boyfriend asked for mayo and had to ask for it 4 or 5 times before actually getting it. When we were served our food, we were not given utensils and had to ask for it. I understand it was busy, but there are some service standards that are just common sense.I thought my boyfriend's food was pretty bland (he got fish and chips), and mine was decent but nothing to write home about (I got the shepherd's pie). It wasn't an awful experience, but definitely not great, especially with entrees being nearly $20.

So much fun! We were there on trivia night and had a great time. Our waiter was very attentive and took very good care of us. My friend is a whiskey connoisseur and loved the options. I would highly recommend it!
