A Delicious Comeback!
Back at Bangalore Tiffin Room, and once again, it didn’t disappoint!
The Masala Puri was bursting with bold, street-style flavor — spicy, tangy, and perfectly crisp. The Ghee Podi Dosa? Absolute perfection — crispy edges, rich ghee aroma, and that punchy podi made every bite addictive.
But the surprise winner was the Pheni Ladoo — light, flaky, and melt-in-the-mouth delicious. A rare treat done right!
Feels great to come back to a place that still gets the classics just right. Can't wait for the next visit!!👏👏🫶🫶

Visit 2: the menu is still small and the food is consistent, wishing this place all the very best. Recommend coming early as the lunch crowd usually picks’s up.

Best Benne Dosa in the USA! Thank you for taking me to Bangalore without a flight ticket

Went there on a Sunday afternoon and it was bustling with folks enjoying food Bangalore Darshini Style! Highly recommend. Everything is made fresh and the aroma of Nandini ghee provides nostalgia.

Thatte Idli that we ordered was served COLD!! And the OG Bangalore Dosa was okay but the Sambar was good. The place seems overrated for the quality of food that we received. The service was good but not the taste.

The OG masala dosa was absolutely mouthwatering — crisp, golden, and just perfect. The chutney and sambar brought back that unmistakable, authentic Bangalore taste that I have not tasted anywhere in the US. The Maddur vada was delicious. A 10/10 for taste, color, texture, crispness. Comfort food at its finest!

A highly dedicated team is providing Best Bangalore style Dosas, Maddur vade, pheni with badam milk. My son and daughter in law catered from here for my birthday surprise and everyone loved the food at the party. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for proper Bangalore style Dosas and other items. One more thing, they have excellent filter coffee!

Authentic Banglore dosa and awesome taste, went back to the nostalgia of India and authentic dosa. We tried idli as well that was so soft and kashi halwa both lip smacking.

If you are looking for an authentic South Indian breakfast, then here's the place. The idly was soft, fresh, and perfectly steamed. The dosa was crispy and golden, with great Bengluru taste. Both went really well with the combo of chutney and sambar. A perfect South Indian breakfast. Don't miss it!

It’s awesome to finally have a place in Austin serving authentic Bangalore style vegetarian food! Tried the OG Bangalore style masala dosa, Bidadi-style thatte idli, and filter coffee—all three were absolutely spot on, taking me right back to Bangalore! The sambar and chutney were authentic and perfectly completed the meal. Will definitely be returning!

Kannada actor Ramesh sir had recently visited this place and gave a very good review about BTR, but honestly our experience was quite different. This review is more of feedback rather than criticism.

I moved from Miami to Austin and got to know about BTR from a WhatsApp group. The menu looked great and the reviews had raised our expectations. My wife is pregnant and she loves Maddur Vade and Masala Puri, so we were very excited to try them.

Masala Puri did not taste anything like what we get in Bangalore. It felt more like a sambar with garlic flavor. There was no cilantro flavor or greenish texture. After two bites we skipped eating it.

Maddur Vade was also disappointing. It was missing spice and curry leaves, which are the soul of the dish.

We ordered the OG Masala Dose and it was good. The dosa was crisp and fluffy inside. However, the chutney was too thick and lacked the authentic flavor and taste.

On pricing, it felt overpriced compared to the experience. For the same price, Sangam serves better versions of the same items.

Atmosphere wise, it is a shared space with different concepts. I liked this idea since it helps businesses reach more customers without the burden of renting a large space.

My feedback to the owners: The name BTR carries a lot of weight and potential, but the taste and service are not meeting the expectations. If you can get these two aspects right, then pricing will not be a concern. People will happily travel miles just for the authentic taste and vibe, which is currently missing. Please focus on these and you can definitely expand your business across Texas and one day all over the USA. I wish you the very best.

One of the recent Indian restaurant opened up in Austin. We visited with great expectations as we are from Bangalore.
Ordered maddur vada, masala puri and Benne dosa. Chat was bland and puri felt old. Benne dosa was an disappointment and maddur vada was bit hard. The taste is nowhere close to OG restaurants in bangalore. Also it would be better to have token system instead of calling out names as multiple people had same names.
