Great bar. Pool table, TV, friendly bartender and cheap drinks. It is dark, have good music. Everything u need is here.

Rum and coke is $4 in 2025. I don't know what kind of spirit they are using but it is good.

They scammed me out of money. Paid for a drink that was $4. Was never given a receipt to sign (I was never asked if I wanted to keep the tab open or closed by the way) and then I check my bank account to see a charge of $6.50. Instead of just relying on honest tips, they’d rather keep the receipt and then charge your card extra. Wonder how long they’ve been getting away with this. Always check your bank account after coming here!!!

We walked in and asked when happy hour was.. the bartender chuckled and said 24/7. Solid spot that my friend’s parents have been going to since they moved here in the naughts. Holds fast

Barfly’s: cheap drinks, punk vibes, zero attitude. A true neighborhood hangout with pool, foosball, old movies playing on the TV, and the kind of dive bar energy that keeps you coming back.

Cool little spot with a few pool tables and a practically non-existent bar.
Felt very trendy/hipster to my OG brain so I went downstairs and had a great time at Golden Horn.

Best dive in Austin and it's not even close

Great dive bar. You know exactly what you’re gonna get when you walk in. The bartenders are all very nice and the drinks cheap

I love this bar... a dive bar with fusion Chinese food menu. The bartenders are laid back and drinks prices are friendly.

Came from Dallas to and checked out this bar. Albert and Jason need a raise. Awesome bar.

An upstairs long-established eclectic dark bar is our kind of place.
The bartender was great, quick with a drink, and grabbed us up some Barflys tee shirts.
There's a great restaurant below, and the combination of the two places makes it a fun place to be.

Great low-key spot to kick it with the homies and choose great songs on the jukebox. They randomly had the film Hereditary playing on the tele and I loved that

This review is subjective to whom you are and what you look for in a bar.

[DIVE BAR TO THE MAX]

First you park and walk up a bunch of steel stairs, order a drink (very well priced/cheap drinks/beers/etc.) Very friendly bar staff. Three pool tables you can play for four quarters. Foosball. Then you can hang inside, or back patio down a bunch of stairs (that you will inevitably walk back up to get another beverage or go home.

The venue itself is a bit grungy and based on my comments on all the stairs, this place is NOT handicap friendly.

The clientele can be quite friendly, but this can also be problematic as it can also be mildly sketchy at times, But not like sketchy in a bad bad way. Perhaps sketchy is the wrong word.
