Some of the best roasted coffee in town. Today went in got 2 lbs and ordered a bone dry cappuccino. First was full of milk refused it . 2nd one i watched him again pour milk in it. Told him that's not how you make a bone dry , he said that's as dry as we make them. Refused it and left. All the people in there not one could make it.

Excellent espresso.
Been looking for good straight espresso places and was recommended Barrett's. It held up to the hype - truly excellent.
I ordered 1 lb of whole beans from them through DoorDash. When picking up the order the workers were so confused on how to handle it. Sorry but either you don't support an ordering platform at all or train the employees to handle it properly.
Not business's fault but parking here is horrible. There isn't even a spot to quickly park to pick up an order.
With all that said, coffee beans that I got were well roasted and tasted great.

Cool little spot. Not huge inside but we were able to find a seat. Also have a few tables outside. Was pleasantly surprised with their cold brew and americano. Good flavor, decent prices. What more can you ask for in a coffee? Will definitely return if in the area.

The coffee and service are great, the parking is abysmal. Definitely more of a walk to neighborhood vibe. If you don't get there early, finding a seat could be problematic. It's VERY popular, despite the lack of parking.

This is such a quintessential Austin coffee shop. Cozy and easy to post up with a laptop. High-quality drinks that cover any taste or beverage need. Their roasted beans are tremendous and cover a lot of range. Excellent pour overs

Brought my family here from out of town for coffee and it was uncomfortably hot inside. We wanted to sit in there but quickly had to leave due to the temperature. After purchasing food and drinks for a large group of us, we could not even stay to enjoy it. Very disappointing experience.

This is a Chinese grocery store.
Why is there someone in the seafood department that doesn't speak Chinese or English?
I drove across town for a particular item and I guess they're out. I don't know for sure. The person working behind the counter was unable to communicate with me.
I guess in the future I can call the store number and ask to speak to a manager and have them translate for me?
Seems a bit onerous after checking to see if they sold the item online and driving across town.
My favorite cafe in the city! Love their espresso and all of their baristas. I used to live on St John's avenue and would walk here multiple times a week. Going to miss living on the same block as y'all!

I always love coffee shops that roast their own beans, and this place did not disappoint! We went twice in the span of 24 hours and I got a cortado, and a sesame iced latte. Fun fact: when you buy a bag of beans, you get a free coffee!

Nothing against the owner (I guess), but parking at Barrett's is a real nightmare. The lot is tiny, exits are nearly impossible, and badly parked cars can trap you for 30+ minutes. Unless you’re walking, be prepared for a stressful, time-consuming ordeal just to get in and out.

Went here to study, saw rat poop droppings on the window sill and whatever is above the shop there was a kid screaming. Concerned everyone in the shop that could hear it. it’s not the establishments fault of course but wow the atmosphere and the circumstances were just enough to never want to come back.

Highly discourage people from trying their coffee. We had a group of 5 with all different drinks and we all felt it was over sugary and watered down. The table next to us happen to also make the same complaint. I think the Mexican Brew was also pre-made. Before I could walk away from the counter, they already had it ready.
