Great staff and a very good coffee! Parking can be tricky if it's busy, but definitely worth to check out!
Good coffee, nice store, nice customers, cool mural outside.
Hands down the best coffee beans in town. Other places may have super adventurous varieties of drinks, but this place has quality roasted beans that make way for a delicious cup of hot or cold coffees. My favorite is the iced Sunrise coffee with oat milk. You can really taste the quality of the coffee beans.
I also regularly buy bags of their coffee beans to brew at home. My favorite is St. John’s roast, but there are plenty to choose from with details of the flavors each roast has detailed at the bottom of each bag.
I usually take my drinks to go, but have stayed here to work on things a couple times. The lighting is chill, with more natural light than anything. Plugs and wifi available.
It’s calm, with most talking happening by customers ordering or the employees talking with one another. Indoor and outdoor seating is available (but it is by a pretty high-traffic street, so I wouldn’t recommend the outdoor if you need quiet/calmness) . All baristas I’ve come across have been kind. They do have some pastries and tacos for sale, but I’ve never had any of them.
I don't know what it is about the baristas here specifically but I think that the amount of sass and attitude I've gotten over the years stopping in here is some kind of culture for Barrett's. I can't order a drink off menu with some pretentious barista correct and scoffing at me, then laughing like high schoolers with their coworkers while the customer is right in front of them. The amount of loud sighs and eye rolling I've had just because I've asked for extra espresso or a 16oz cappuccino. If a customer wants a 16 oz cappuccino just make it, don't laugh, correct them that it's a latte then snicker about it for 10 minutes while it's made.
Great beans! And the free coffee when buying a bag of beans is such a nice little perk.
Amazing coffee. Especially the sunrise latte
Good independent coffee shop
Confusing to find. The old sign by the small building is still up so we saw that and thought they were just closed and almost left. Busy and industrial feeling. The drinks were ok. Way too much syrup in my cortado. The coffee itself seemed solid and well done. The iced tea was over steeped and took forever. The employee was disgruntled with us when we finally asked for it after waiting like 10 minutes after the rest of using our group got our drinks

Fantastic experience! We were introduced to Barrett's Coffee during the Austin Coffee Festival . We stopped in for a coffee morning and had an outstanding experience from the moment we walked in the door. The baristas were kind and patient with us, and helped guide our selection of beverages and food. Had a wonderful time and plan on going back the next time we are in Austin.

This cozy little spot might not look like much from the outside but step inside and you’ll find a cute area perfect for working. There’s plenty of tables, lots of space, and it’s open late so you can work comfortably late into the evening.
The coffee is fantastic, especially the handmade pumpkin spice latte which truly lives up to the hype. You can even buy the syrup to take home!
The cardamom bun was delicious as well. It tastes like a slightly different version of a cinnamon roll. So whether you’re there to work, unwind, or just grab a delicious latte, this café is worth a visit.

Tasty. Authentic coffee shop feel and smell.
Terrible service!!!!! The person taking our order was BEYOND rude he barely acknowledged me and my friends. When we were ordering, he wouldn’t say anything to us and just answer our questions with a nod or just mumble one word answers. If I could give a negative tip, I would have!!! I am never coming back here. I have never felt this uncomfortable by a worker and am so upset. I hope he has the worst day ever!!!! My drink wasn’t good either, worst experience ever!!!

This place is Scorching hot! I would not recommend working here if you can't withstand working in a sauna. I don't post until I've been somewhere a few times. Each time I've tried to work here myself or the other person I brought with me gets over heated and we have to leave. It's been a problem. This is not a place to conduct business, nor have a quick get together. It will be hard to withstand the heat in this establishment even if you are just going in to stand in the long line to get a cup of coffee. The employees are nice and helpful but everyone is wiping sweat from their brows.
