Barlett's continues to earn its spot on the "ATX's iconic" list for consistently providing first-class service and fare ... service is always impeccable, attentive but not overbearing. Water glasses stay full, advice about the menu on point, pace of the meal appropriate. A separate staff hustles food out of the kitchen, so it comes out piping hot (or cold as needed). Steaks and seafood ruled the table this visit, all cooked to perfection, astutely seasoned. Nice wine accompanied dinner, and dessert, key lime pie, was the perfect ending to a delightful meal. Highly recommend you stop by Bartlett's!
Perfect steaks, great cocktails & wine, and a great place to go for celebrating a special occasion. Service is as good as the good & drinks.

My husband and I recently went to Bartletts. I must say off the top, the food was mediocre and pricey! . Our initial female server that came to ask us about drinks was actually rather rude, slamming things on the table ( the ticket or some type of paper, drinks and appetizer plates). We were so relieved when we learned that she would not be our server. Our actual male server was pleasant! The atmosphere was warm. I ordered a half rack of ribs with garlic mashed potatoes. The ribs were dry and I didn’t enjoy them. They looked like mini ribs with some bbq sauce flung and cooked on them. Not to my liking at all. The food is pretty pricey so I doubt that we’d go back because we don’t have money to waste to pay for mediocre food with a warm and comfy atmosphere. We would prefer to have both!
They always get us a table quickly. The staff is already getting to know us after four visits the drinks and the food are always consistent. Most likely one of our favorite restaurants if not the favorite thank you parts for your impeccable service and striving to be the best!

A little disappointed as I was expecting the Houston's quality and it wasn't. I miss the original menu.

This restaurant seemed like the best option after shopping in the area. However, our steaks were not cooked to what we requested, especially my husband's.
He asked for medium rare and it was extremely red in the center, you could almost hear it moo...😉
He chose to eat the outside edge and not complain as we were already exhausted from holiday shopping and waiting to be seated. Our server was great though, love the pear martinis.

Consistent quality food, service and atmosphere, this is the place forma fine dining experience in North Central
Austin. The premium cocktails do not disappoint the Margarita was excellent as was the Blue Goose Martini. Preston provided excellent table side service. The Famous French Dip Au Jus was amazing. This is a wonderful restaurant to celebrate a special occasion or a casual Saturday afternoon cocktail. Add Barletts’s to your list of places to check out.

The ribeye is really good
This used to be Houston’s, one of my favorite restaurants and they have lost nothing in the change to Bartlett’s. Much of the menu features the greats from the past, with some new additions as well. This is one place where you can’t go wrong picking anything on the menu.

Everything about our lunch today was outstanding. The 100-hour ribeye, the spinach and artichoke dip, the bacon cheeseburger, the coffee, the key lime pie.
I substituted the mashed potatos with seasonal butternut squash with maple and cinnamon glaze and, wow they tasted incredible.
Evan was very friendly, attentive and helpful.
Bartlett's has been my go-to favorite Austin hangout for decades, and will continue to be at the top when visiting ATX. I love the dark, moody, sophisticated ski lodge vibe, which is uncommon to find in restaurants these days.
