Under the guise of Houston’s some of the trappings remain. The rest seems to have faded. Service was awful and the only thing that surpassed the awful was the food itself. You pride yourself on excellence and preparation of meats and seafood. That message was lost when a charred steak salad cooked medium rare arrived bed and and butterflied filet mignon was served without an ounce of juice as it was too, overcooked from med rare. The salad made a reappearance sans steak only to be with the wrong dressing. Dinner ended with the consumption of a Diet Coke. I left and ate at Voo Doo donuts. Nothing could make me return to this travesty and the atrocity committed under the guise of diner dining.

You will never go wrong ordering the French dip prime rib sandwich. It is so delicious ? Also every other month, they offer their to die for hot fudge sundae. It is like dying and going to heaven!

Best Prime Rib in town!! I also appreciate a dark steakhouse with great service. I made mistake of ordering prime rib at Perry’s last week. So disappointed. We had to come back to Bartletts to correct situation. Juicy, thick and just perfect with horseradish and mashed potatoes. They serve with au jus of course. I’m sorry there’s no pic. I was too excited to dig in and forgot to take. The other must are the grilled artichokes with aioli. Soooo good and they bring warm towels to clean up afterwards. I always get side salad with bacon and blue cheese. You can’t go wrong with this combo. I like to come here for birthdays and special celebrations. I like their desserts as well. Key lime pie, brownie with ice cream and apple cobbler. They’re all good. Bartletts never fails. This used to be Houston’s back in the day. Been coming here forever.

Menu is a bit pricey but wow the french dip is absolutely delicious. The service here is also top notch. I got the Caesar salad as well and its definitely one of my favorites in Austin. Will definitely return!
