I recently went for a work meeting, and was just really disappointed the way things were handled. I got cut off. Which is fine - I’m a single mom that doesn’t drink with a lot on my plate. But what made me upset is that once the bartenders decided they didn’t want to serve me anymore they stopped talking to me all together. Didn’t bring me water, food, check in on me nothing. Just ignored me. Finally someone came and explained the situation and I took it like a champ....
I’m a Native Austinite (born & raised in Austin) and I’ve always loved this restaurant for important client dinners and special occasions. However, it’s almost impossible to get a reservation here, unless you call at least three weeks to a month ahead of time! The front desk staff are not helpful and speak condescending to you. It’s very disappointing and we’ll be going elsewhere for special occasions and important client dinners.
Truly one of the best restaurants in Austin! Drinks, ambience, and food are all 10 star level. I had the Grill chicken salad with Field greens, cilantro, roasted peanuts, tortilla strips, honey-lime vinaigrette, peanut sauce. My personal favorite. Wife and sister had the filet and ribeye cooked to perfection! We live out of town so each time we come Austin it’s a must visit to Bartlett’s
