I just came here to say one thing... THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT LID SECURITY. I just knocked over my coffee near my laptop and only one drop was spilled. Also try the Bennu Iced coffee it's so good.

I used to go to this location of Bennu everyday and have recommended multiple friends here that also come everyday but none of us will be returning. Multiple times now I've had mean baristas make fun of my friends and I for what we order. My friend has a eating disorder and the barista that was a tall woman with blonde hair I think her name is Pearl, spoke to the other barista a shorter bald man and made of fun of her drink commenting on how much sugar it was, as soon as the we went to the car she started sobbing. Very upsetting and unacceptable behavior sad to see a place I went to for comfort has now become a hostile place for my friends and I. Do better.

Love love love this space! My go to is a cold brew with chocolate drizzle and whipped cream paired with their DELICIOUS pressure butter chocolate cup 🥰 Max and Patrick are always so on top off it even when the place is slammed. Bennu is wonderful 💛

Coffee is hit or miss. One came out ok the other was cold and tasted like milk not the flavor we ordered. The breakfast tacos were really bad and they don’t give out enough salsa to eat. The chocolate croissants are average. The raven coffee was decent. The service and ambiance was ok. Good quiet study or work space.

Vegetarian options: Breakfast and vegetarian options

Parking: Parking can be somewhat difficult it’s a small lot and can be full

Chill place to do work. The real star is the mocha menu, but they are my favorite espresso drink so I may be biased. I have tried every one, but the Don Quixote is definitely my favorite. There is a parking lot here too if you are worried about street parking.

Zero out of ten. Do not attend.

I would give this place five stars across the board—but that would be a bold-faced lie. I take it back. Actually, I liked the place. I even wanted to buy coffee from them.

But alas, the universe had other plans. Or, more accurately, the guy in the back did.

Look, cakes are nice, sure. But cakes don't contain an addictive substance that fuels 90% of my personality. Coffee, on the other hand? Coffee is life. Coffee is what I came for. Coffee is what I tried to buy.

And yet, for reasons unknown to me, I was denied service. No explanation, no "Hey, sorry, we're out of coffee," just a firm no. My best guess? It might have something to do with the fact that I accidentally fell asleep there while having a rough day. Oops. Apparently, that was a capital offense.

Then there was the guy in the back. I didn’t hear exactly what he said, but you know when someone is talking just loud enough that you start filling in the blanks? Yeah, that happened. He was having what can only be described as a passionate meltdown about "those types of people" and how "they are." You know, real vague but very pointed. Safe bet? He wasn’t auditioning for a kindness award.

So, in conclusion: No coffee, weird vibes, and one guy who I assume has a personal vendetta against me (or at least against anyone who might dare close their eyes in public). Hard pass

But to the staff. I've worked in restaurants most my life, and I've refused service for personal reasons before. I'm okay with not demanding a ex lover server you food. It's a rarity, but I guess we're getting personal about it, I don't have sex with guys though... So I'm confused why he didn't take my money.

I'm a drip coffee person.
I got an iced cinnamon roll, warmed. Both are excellent. Quiet, warm and cozy. Mainly there are students studying, but this UT alumni was welcomed by the staff and treated very well.

Great place! The baristas are so sweet, the vibes are immaculate and the coffee spectacular. My only complaint is you have to buy something every 3 hours of working to use the wifi. My favorite coffee shop in Austin thus far. Also, free parking! Yay!!
