My son came in from college and we took the family to Betsy's to play some pool. Wow, what a wonderful place, we got sorted right away, got some drinks and played a few hours of billiards, the staff was polite, the drinks divine, and the tables were fantastic, we are for sure going to come back. And, did I mention the environment and decorations, stupendous.

As much as I would like to compliment this place with the environment, aesthetics, and the overall housekeeping of the pool hall... I've got to say that I felt as though the wait staff tend to show a little favoritism. All the while I am shooting pool one-handed mind you, not arrogant it's a confidence thing, I saw the waitress that was serving me serving hard liquor to the patrons right next to me all the while I was being served IPA beer. I have worked several places, special events, and as well as personal security for some well-known celebrities and I felt as though I was not being treated fairly compared to the other patrons that might be living in the area or know the wait staff. It would have been more appropriate to have my waitress inform me that she didn't feel comfortable that my consumption of alcoholic beverages made her feel uncomfortable yet she was still serving hard liquor to the table next to me. I respect her decision, but I will not return to this place, or this venue as I don't feel that the pricing was good for great condition pool tables but I thought as though the wait staff were only interested in certain patrons that they knew. And I used to own a couple bars, dance clubs, and was a bouncer myself and I understand some of it to a degree, but ultimately I will not return to this place if you do not know who works there as far as I'm concerned it feels more of a favoritism pool hall than seeing the patrons that enter and leave with a great impression. I did not get a great impression of this venue.

I’ve come to Betsy’s a lot over the years since they first opened. It’s generally a decent place to come play some pool. Pretty good food. Lots of happy hour deals. Hit or miss on the service. The reason for my 3 stars is because of the owners response over my concerns. Me & my partner came to get some practice in & we hadn’t been here since we had our last baby. I got charged $63 for 2 drinks. When I brought it to the owners attention she got very defensive about her prices and said it was fair and that I can choose a different type of tequila. A bottle of patron that’s 25 oz is $40. I paid $63 for 4 oz of patron and 2 mixers. Literally have never paid such an outrageous amount anywhere. I’m overall just disappointed in Betsy’s response. I guess the extra $20-$25 she’s overcharging is more important to her than keeping loyal customers.
