Got bagels yesterday and they had more of a grocery store texture than bagel shop. Way overpriced ( more than anywhere I’ve ever been including nyc) and texture was cold. May have been frozen and just defrosted. Certainly not fresh.

The bagels were frozen not fresh and 18 bagels and a small cream cheese for $57.42. Bad hard bagels and a rip off. They were still frozen when we picked them up.

I’m an Austinite, and have had many pastrami sandwiches around the city but could never find a really good one, until I stumbled across this hidden gem on the outskirts of Austin off highway 183. This is the best Pastrami sandwich hands down i’ve ever had. If you love pastrami or want that authentic new york flavor, definitely check it out.

I’m a bagel snob from Long Island New York and this is the only bagel outside of there that I’ve found makes me feel like I’m transported back there. I got a sausage egg and cheese on an egg everything bagel and the cheese was so nice and gooey and the bagel thick and flavorful. Just so happy to have this locally. Beyond happy.

I have no idea how I ended up shopping bagel places last week but once I saw the photos and reviews for this place, I decided to give it a go this weekend.
Breakfast sandwich I got was so good! Taylor Ham, egg and cheese on everything bagel.
I love dense, chewy bagels and that's exactly what they had!
I could only finish half! We will definitely go back.

These folks know how to make a Reuben! The Pastrami is off the chain! I originally tried their Philly Chee and they crushed that sandwich too. The wife gets the Texan and just shoots it straight into her veins. Legit.
They got mad sandwich making skills. Drop them chain stores with the garbage ingredients and get over to BiG City Bagels. They do it up right. I've been going there every Thursday or Friday for a minute!

What a gem of a deli! Hard to find good ones in Austin and we’ve been on the hunt. Big City does not disappoint. One of the best pastrami Reuben I’ve ever had. Oh and they had locally sourced drink options.

I had a Pastrami, Egg & Cheese on an everything bagel, and my wife had a bagel with lox and cream cheese. Absolutely amazing! It's definitely worth driving across town to try it out. They recommend calling ahead or ordering online since they get a lot of to-go orders. We didn’t wait long despite not doing this, but we'll know for next time. They have a few outdoor tables and one indoor table for seating.
