It might sound wild, but lately, trying different restaurants around Austin—from the fancy spots to the casual grab-and-go places—hasn't been the best experience. Whether it's messed-up orders I don't realize until I'm home or just plain bad service, I've been running into cashiers and waiters who seem totally uninterested.
But let me tell you, from the moment I walked in, Bill Miller was a completely different story. And it's all thanks to the guy who took my order, Alejandro. Right off the bat, he was super polite, making sure I had everything I needed, and he did it all with a genuine smile. For the first time in a while, I actually felt welcomed.
As someone in management, I'm always focused on making sure my employees understand how important it is to take care of our customers. So, I just had to share my experience so Alejandro gets the recognition he deserves. He's a prime example of how to do it right!

My what a pleasant little gem the Ben White location is. The ambiance says it all. The gravelly parking lot, the non-challenging building architecture, the shabby chic cozy dining area, the music selection,the uber friendly jovial wait staff, the excellent ribs, and fried chicken, and sides were perfect. And the good old boys and girls chowing down was the omb.

I finally decided to talk to the manager regarding the online service. I have placed orders online around 6:30-6:40 am. I drive 40 minutes to the restaurant, it’s close to my work, to still wait 5 minutes for them to do my order. I asked the manager if it’s better to order in person as every single time I order online I still have to wait for them to prep my order. The manager was rude saying that online, drive-thru and in person is the same wait time. I said, I doubt people wait 40 minutes for their orders and I tried to ask her if ordering in person was better than the website. She kept repeating back to me- it’s the same wait time over and over and walked away. I still love their great breakfast tacos but I was disappointed with their customer service.

We are working in Austin and decided to stop by and get our fix of greatness. We ordered through the Drive-Thru. Cashier was friendly, courteous and very professional. We always have issues when we order and extra roll and other locations forget 9/10 times. Without even asking he reassured us everything was in the bag and taken care of including the extra roll. The food was fresh, hot and exactly what we expected from our order. I was very pleased and impressed with our experience.
Never been here before and I'm happy I walked in! Service was speedy and the food is very good. Tender brisket and tangy sausage links. Potatoes are old school good with savory green beans and not featured is the absolutely delicious coleslaw. I will return!
