It is hit or miss and very expensive versus other local options. I usually pick the chicken or lamb korma, but there's always tons of bones in the chicken and not much meat. I've ordered here probably 5-10 times and there have never been issues until my most recent order. I ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken 65 biryani. When I got there, they did not seem to have my order. After a few minutes of the workers scrambling, they let me know they did not have either of those two items. This was extremely frustrating because they didn't attempt to contact me about this until I arrived. They were also not able to understand how to refund/cancel my order so now I have to deal with my credit card company.

Wow can't believe this place. I've been going here for a while but this most recent incident of placing an order on Yelp and arriving at the pickup time only to find out the food was not ready at 11:30am. They said it would take 1 hour to make and I would have to wait. They didn't have the chicken. They offered no concessions for this inconvenience basically SOL. For a business to say they are open at 11am and not be ready until 12:30pm is really inconvenience their customers. I saw two other customers get their orders canceled. Bad customer service stay away.

Very oily manchurian. Not so tasty gravy. An overall indifferent attitude from the staff. The two stars is only because this is slightly better than Anjappar.

I waited a long time for my meal, but the food there was great! I love the chickpeas, curry and Indian tea. There's a lot to choose from and everything is delicious! I ordered some stuff there from Uber eats during the pandemic and decided to go eat there.

I can be picky with biryani, and I love the biryani here! I get the normal chicken biryani and my boyfriend gets the goat biryani. The issue I have here is that the food is occasionally inconsistent, and when it is, I really don't like how my food tastes. It's kind of a gamble when I order, but is tasty 75% of the time. Love that they give a hard-boiled egg as well as raw onion and limes with the biryani - but again, it's inconsistent. Sometimes I get the onion and lime, sometimes I don't, and I would prefer not to have to double-check every single time.

The chicken in the Special Chicken Biryani was obviously previously frozen chicken strips or boneless wings. I used to go to the northwest location before I moved and loved it. Very disappointed.

Price on beyond menu app is jacked up. Ordered paneer chilli.. it's like paneer in curry. The paneer are not even coated. No vegetable in paneer chilli.

Very disappointed in the quality of food and service that has happened with this restaurant. We ordered food that took way too long to be made, then when it was ready it was all in to-go containers on a tray waiting for us at the counter. The person behind the counter just rang a bell and yelled "self service" for us to come get our food as another table was having theirs delivered by a young a young lady working there. (And she kept tending to them through our visit there). We weren't offered water, but by the looks of it we would've had to pay additionally for bottled water anyway. Everything they "provided" was disposable utensils, and paper plates. Before the pandemic all the items we ordered would've come out to around $45 before tip. After the price hike of everything due to the pandemic and the included gratuity (why did we even tip, nobody was serving us and we didn't even get real dishes and silverware, or a glass of water?!) everything came out to almost SEVENTY Dollars. I am all for supporting whatever finances needed to maintain the small business but the quality of food has dropped significantly,(the food was not as great as I know it has been, not even close)you took your service staff away, and I can't even get real utensils to cut my food with.Needless to say I will not be returning.

Had very bad experience placing take out ordered with them. They screwed up my order big time and they said they will fix it from time I order from them. Like I'm going to place one more order from them. The person who received my call hung up on me as soon as I started complaining. This is very bad way to create customers....... I wish I could give 0 stars.........

Biryani and grill used to be a great place in 2019 and it was my favorite place for Indian food. But their food quality has declined since then. The staff is rude and the ambience is also unwelcoming. I remember they used to have really really great biryanis. I also used to love their goat chettinad. It was a delicacy. But idk what went wrong. Maybe their chef changed or something. I used to brag and have great memories of this place. These days the food is just eh, mediocre according to Indian standards. Hope they do something about it.

Incredible food! We decided to try this place as we had seen it and eaten there years ago when it was under a different owner I believe. We got 3 orders of takeout and 3 orders of breads. OMG! SO delicious! I also love that they use very little Styrofoam in their take-out packaging something I appreciate. We had a slight snafu and the order took awhile, but who cares, worth the wait. They told me next time to call in an order that it is hard for them to see the online orders. We got Saag Paneer, a Yellow Dal and some Tomato based Paneer, garlic naan and some Poori with some vegetables that were served on top. Love it! We will be back!

Not sure what happen, I love the last two times I ordered here. The top review on grubhub is mine, actually. Sadly I wish grubhub would allow it to be edited.Tonight they lied to the GH driver that they called me to let me know something was unavailable. Then when the only item showed up (the Chicken Tikka Masala), it was very oily with maybe 3 small pieces of chicken, and not enough rice to enjoy the not-yet separated sauce.

I will never eat here. How careful are you with kitchen conditions when you are mistreating kitchen workers and have to be taken to court to pay them their due wages?

This place used to be good but now with the new Owner/Management. This is a disgusting bad restaurant, Bad quality and service. Way too many Health violations. Found human hair in my food. would not recommend anyone. Buy frozen Indian food instead.

This is a pretty good Indian restaurant in South Austin. Their house special biriyani both chicken and goat are quite good. Their butter naan with butter chicken or butter paneer is really delicious. Their chettinad curries are great with naan. Their indo chinese cuisine is alright. My pet peeve with this place is that they skimp on meat in their biriyani- specifically mutton. Also, there's something off with their online ordering system. After a couple of hiccups, we always call the store and order for pickup.
