We frequent this location often and typically have great food and service. However, this was not the case last night. The service was off and the food was not great. It took forever to place our order and once the food came, nobody stopped by to see how our meal was. I had the rack of lamb, ordered it medium rare and it was extremely rare and very tough. I struggled to cut it with the steak knife. My husband ordered the sea bass and it was overcooked and very hard, not buttery...
We had an absolutely delicious meal with so much excellent food..took home leftovers. Our service with Kevin was great, and we totally enjoyed the evening. It was quiet when we arrived at 6:00, but was very full and sort of noisy by the time we left. But we always enjoy our meal there, and the lamb was terrific and cooked perfectly. I had crab cakes, and they added risotto for me since I did not want potatoes....so nice. Their appetizers and sides are delicious too esp. creamed...
Sadly, our Labor Day weekend visit to Bob's was a miss. We went Saturday night while we were staying at the hotel. Waited about 15 minutes past our reservation time to be seated, which is not a big deal considering they were very busy. Service was minimal, just enough to get our orders in and the check, again they were pretty busy, so that was ok. Medium Rare filet came out Medium to Medium Well, by the time anyone came by to ask if food was ok, we were ready to leave and...
