The best food we had in Austin. We’re foodies. I manage a scratch kitchen so I’m not easy to impress.
The sandwich on garlic bread? Incredible. I’m positive everything is good. If you’re thinking of trying this place out - DO IT.

This Brazilian restaurant serves the best Brazilian food I’ve ever tasted. The feijoada was divine—the pork stew meat was so tender it practically melted in your mouth, while the grainy cheese flakes, refreshing pico de gallo, and perfectly crispy pork skins came together in a mouthwatering symphony of textures and flavors. The garlic bread steak sandwich was another standout—the bread had just the right amount of butter, and the sauce perfectly complimented the juicy, tender rib inside. Each bite was bursting with savory richness. I don’t usually go for steak, but this sandwich was irresistible, full of bold, layered flavors. The coxinha, though a bit too cheesy, was still a delightful treat, especially with the dipping sauces—one creamy and the other a spicy salsa that brought everything together.

The food was not good for the price, nothing great really and it took a long time to be prepared. The fried egg was a bit burned on the bottom and the rice was bland and like others said I felt a bit nauseous afterwards. The coxinhas were also not that great. But the main issue I have with this place is the unfriendliness of the guy there. So unfriendly that made the whole experience so bad. I don’t understand the great reviews. Also, I gave him a good tip before i tasted it and I regret it. What’s up with all places asking for tips beforehand ? If you want friendly service and nice food go somewhere else.

My friend and I ordered picanha and the food was terrible in general, the food truck was dirty, the beans tasted sour. A lot of margarine taste in the food (which I think is terrible). The price is very high compared to the quality offered and quantity.
Food are delicious very brazilian

I had the Picanha Grelhada and Coxinhos. First time trying Brazilian food as a Latino/Puerto Rican and the flavors were similar to Caribbean Hispanic food. The steak was super tender and the coxinhos were dense and filling.

My picanha was extremely chewy and fatty, what made it hard to eat. Food truck looks old and dirty from inside and the person who attended us was not friendly at all. This is the second time I eat in Boteco because I had a good experience the time I visited Austin, but after this bad experience I would have to go somewhere else for a good meat. I felt disappointed.

Skip the Tex-Mex!! Go get some authentic Brazilian Street food, instead. I crave this place and it's absolutely a hidden gem in Austin. The Feijoada is the highlight here. It's a very generous amount of food and, at $15, let's get real...that's cheap for this city. Always delicious and fresh. There's so many flavors on this one dish and it's the perfect power bowl for after spending the day in the sun or when you're heading out. It's got citrus, acidity, savory, crunch, and the only downside was me butchering the name.
It's pronounced Fey-jow-aa-duh. ;)
