When you read all the reviews about this place being friendly, ya gotta go and see for yourself. I can confirm this is one of the friendliest bars in town. We did a random drop-in for a drink and stayed for hours. Bartenders are great, patrons are great. Cool lil dive bar. We'll be back
Possibly North Austin’s friendliest dive bar, Buddy’s Place mixes traditional bar entertainment with good drinks and a fun atmosphere. Getting to Buddy’s is easy as they have a designated parking area out back. Once parked you’re greeted by their patio area where there is a door for entry into the main bar. They are dog friendly, a very big plus considering most don’t allow dogs at all. The bar itself is a bit divey with a domino and pool tables setup in the main area....
The last true dive bar! My boyfriend and I went, on Tuesday, to a new Texas two-step class that is being held there. We only had soft drinks but the bar itself has so much charm and the bartender was a sweetheart. The dance instructor, whose name is Russ, was so much fun to learn with.
