Lunch portion, half steak sammy was very small. Everything else was Excellent: meat quality and prep, fries side were plenty and crisp, very very good empanada, and the chimmichuri is so good it's hard not to drink it after you run it off dipping things. Our server was so attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. It was pretty quiet Friday after Thanksgiving but everything came out as ordered, hot, and delicious. Took home alfores for later, also delicious!
The asado for the restaurant's 20th anniversary was just great. Great. The food was perfect. The ambiance outdoor while the meat was cooking fired up the crowd. I wish the restaurant would do more asados like this.
Buenos Aires Café completely swept me away with its incredible atmosphere and authentic Argentine charm. The live music and live tango performance created such an energetic vibe The highlight of the night was the asado cooked over wood. The flavors were rich, smoky, and perfectly seasoned —delicious!!
Good overall but not mind blowing ..proveletta with no taste ...chorizo was small but good .... steak sandwich was good ... basic but good ....empanafa was good but average by argentina standards... wine was good 44$ but for 2 people lunch at 140 dollars ... a bit expensive for what you get ... but nice experience all the same
We had a delicious meal at Buenos Aires Café! The atmosphere was great. The Caipirinha were delicious!
Visited for the first time as a party of two. They didn't tell us until the end of the meal that they were automatically adding a 20% gratuity because of the festival in town. Nothing posted anywhere, not notified prior to ordering. A true bait and switch. As a local, kinda ruined our first experience
I continue to come here because the staff is great, the food is amazing and at a great price along with all the wine and sangria selections
Food was absolutely fantastic!! Our server was great and recommended some excellent white wine and food suggestions as well - definitely going back! Kinda nosey which would make sense - it's an older home or structure — don't let that stop you!!!
Over priced - food was not great
Awesome steaks with chimichurri, cool lounge downstairs

No idea how in my 12 years in Austin that I’d never been here: it was 12 years too long! Check it out, Argentinian beef that cannot be beat, stellar ambience, and staff. I will absolutely be back, sooner rather than later.

We loved the food. It made me feel like I was in Argentina. Very well seasoned and excellent quality. Congratulations to the chef and the cooks. Service was also very friendly.
This was our second visit to this neighborhood gem. If you are looking for a nice Argentinian Parrillada, this is the place to go. We had some empanadas and Provoloneta as appetizers with some excellent tasty cocktails. For entree, we shared a parrillada for 4 which was made to perfection. We paired it with a nice bottle of Argentinian wine: Luca Beso de Dante; which was more than perfect. Their deserts were authentic Argentinian alfajores and 4 leches cake. It was an excellent Sunday lunch with the family. Our server, Diana was outstanding and spaced our courses to perfection. Highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic Argentinian Asado.
Buenos Aires Café is hands down one of the best hidden gems in Austin! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy, authentic feel that instantly transports you. The staff is always welcoming and makes you feel right at home.
The food is absolutely incredible—everything tastes fresh and full of flavor. The empanadas are a must-try, perfectly crisp and filled with delicious fillings, and the steaks are cooked to perfection. Their chimichurri is some of the best I’ve ever had, and the desserts (especially the alfajores) are the perfect sweet finish.
It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for a date night, family dinner, or just when you’re craving authentic Argentine comfort food. If you’re in Austin and want a memorable dining experience, Buenos Aires Café is a must!
