Visited for the first time as a party of two. They didn't tell us until the end of the meal that they were automatically adding a 20% gratuity because of the festival in town. Nothing posted anywhere, not notified prior to ordering. A true bait and switch. As a local, kinda ruined our first experience

I continue to come here because the staff is great, the food is amazing and at a great price along with all the wine and sangria selections

Food was absolutely fantastic!! Our server was great and recommended some excellent white wine and food suggestions as well - definitely going back! Kinda nosey which would make sense - it's an older home or structure — don't let that stop you!!!

No idea how in my 12 years in Austin that I’d never been here: it was 12 years too long! Check it out, Argentinian beef that cannot be beat, stellar ambience, and staff. I will absolutely be back, sooner rather than later.

We loved the food. It made me feel like I was in Argentina. Very well seasoned and excellent quality. Congratulations to the chef and the cooks. Service was also very friendly.

This was our second visit to this neighborhood gem. If you are looking for a nice Argentinian Parrillada, this is the place to go. We had some empanadas and Provoloneta as appetizers with some excellent tasty cocktails. For entree, we shared a parrillada for 4 which was made to perfection. We paired it with a nice bottle of Argentinian wine: Luca Beso de Dante; which was more than perfect. Their deserts were authentic Argentinian alfajores and 4 leches cake. It was an excellent Sunday lunch with the family. Our server, Diana was outstanding and spaced our courses to perfection. Highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic Argentinian Asado.

Buenos Aires Café is hands down one of the best hidden gems in Austin! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy, authentic feel that instantly transports you. The staff is always welcoming and makes you feel right at home.

The food is absolutely incredible—everything tastes fresh and full of flavor. The empanadas are a must-try, perfectly crisp and filled with delicious fillings, and the steaks are cooked to perfection. Their chimichurri is some of the best I’ve ever had, and the desserts (especially the alfajores) are the perfect sweet finish.

It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for a date night, family dinner, or just when you’re craving authentic Argentine comfort food. If you’re in Austin and want a memorable dining experience, Buenos Aires Café is a must!

Such a wonderful spot! We ordered the empanada flight, cocktails and the Parradilla for two with a side of mashed potatoes (pictured.) Highly recommend - especially if you are craving some South American BBQ.

We had a delightful time Buenos Aires Café. We started with Carne Picante Empanada for an appetizer which was flaky and delicious to share. To save room for dessert, my husband and I decided to split the 8oz Bife de Lomo served with spicy chimichurri sauce. The steak was grilled perfectly, served with asparagus. We finished our meal with a beautiful, moist chocolate mousse cake. We will definitely be coming back soon - what a wonderful find in East Austin.l

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. The empanadas were crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside - perfect! But the real star of the show was the entraña dish, which was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The flavors were rich and savory, and the portion was generous. If you're a fan of Argentinean cuisine, you have to try this place. Highly recommended! 😋👌" 5/5 stars.
