I paid for 2 tickets and spent $120 for general admission online for my wife and I to get into their New Year’s party and when we get there it turns out it was FREE ADMISSION the whole night. Nobody paid to get in Buford’s.
They gave us a useless wrist band that said we could skip the entrance line which there was never a line to get in. People walked in and out freely.
People who bought tickets were promised to get glasses of champagne at midnight. Take a lucky guess. We never received them.
My wife and I like several others got scammed lastnight and management never offered a solution. The only useful guy was at the main entrance and straight up told us he was sorry and we wasted our money. What a way to start the new year off.
Thank you Buford’s for stealing my money, like several others, and then over charging for drinks. I hope y’all had a good new years because your customers did not.

Wow. Jake’s friend, who was in charge of the stage, was extremely adamant about having only intoxicated girls on stage. His behavior raised serious concerns, as he seemed to have ill intentions. I barely managed to drag my girlfriend off the stage, despite her being visibly inebriated. This kind of behavior is alarming and completely unacceptable. I strongly urge management to investigate this incident thoroughly, as it reflects poorly on the establishment and raises serious safety concerns for guests.

By far the best atmosphere on West 6th! The bartender Chrissy made it so fun everytime I went to order drinks, I’ll always come back here day or night!

DO NOT GO HERE!! I was visiting my friend in Austin and got my phone and wallet stolen at this bar. The workers did not express any concern and would not help us. In fact, people around me mentioned that they believed the workers are in on this because it happens so frequently. The next morning, I had to buy a new phone and there was a girl there who had the SAME thing happen. The Verizon worker said there is at least one girl every Saturday and Sunday who comes in for a new phone after hers was stolen at Buford’s specifically. This place needs to be shut down for negligence!!

I was berated then assaulted by an employee, who didn't even identify themself, for allegedly being on my phone while I was peeing (I was not on my phone, which is completely irrelevant and the premise of this entire situation). I was grabbed while peeing. I refuted and was further assaulted and dragged out of the bar by two cowardly employees who did not identify themselves and who couldn't admit they made a mistake. I was pulled from the urinal with my arms behind my back and told we were going outside to fight (unaware it was employees). Employees or not, that's assault. They broke my watch and threatened to attack me. Extremely unprofessional and appalling. Please report all assault and theft claims to the police. This place should be shut down.
