Great food as always, but the waitress rushed our dinner check. We ran into her in the bookstore next, so we assumed it was because it was the end of her shift. We weren't ready to leave, 3 women catching up who hadn't seen each other in person for nearly 2 years. We left out of obligation and because the unsolicited check was given to us. We didn't even get a chance to discuss dessert.

Lovely neighborhood atmosphere does not make up for largely mediocre food quality and kind, but ineffective service. Mains arrived annoyingly early, in the middle of appetizers. One main did not show up at all, so one of our party waited an additional 15 minutes or more. Chicken Paillard was juicy, but the panko breading was overcooked and somewhat burned. Steak was overcooked and not especially flavorful. Desert was a bright spot, but hardly made up for the shortfalls. Perhaps a better experience could be had at brunch, but coffee and desert would be the only thing that might prompt a return.

We had weekend brunch reservations and our experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we placed our order, it took 45 minutes for most of our food to arrive. The Clafoutis we ordered was completely burnt and stuck to the baking dish that it was nearly impossible to remove. One member of our party ordered a burger, which didn't arrive until almost everyone else had finished eating. At one point, I asked if we could at least receive some fries or a small snack for the person still waiting, but we was told that fries would take just as long as the burger. It took over an hour for the burger to be prepared, and when it finally arrived, it wasn't even cooked well done as requested. Instead, it was rare. Given how long we had already waited, we hoped there would have been no issues. Since we had to leave, we ended up asking for a to go box for the burger. We requested that the burger be comped due to the inconvenience, but were initially offered only 50% off. I then had to speak directly with the manager, who also happened to be the chef, to explain why we felt it should be fully comped. He eventually agreed and did not even apologize for the inconvenience. We will not be returning and I suggest others find a better place to eat.

Very slow service, very understaffed. Hoping this was a one time experience. Waited a long time for drinks. Food was excellent but brought out in different order than requested. One of us was finished eating by the time the other entree was delivered.

Fantastic service and ambiance, great cocktails. Food was a bit disappointing but hoping it was a one off situation.

Service took forever at the start of the meal, then the courses were timed poorly after-it felt like we had no time to actually enjoy our meal. I ordered the moules ey frites, and the mussels were super gritty-I couldn't even finish them because of how gritty they were.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit - the food was superb, service was top notch, and the ambiance was perfect (it was a beautiful day to sit outside)!

Great place to get away from the downtown hubbub! The food is inspired and the service is even better. Highly recommend as a great brunch or quiet date spot. Only qualm I had was the prices for a couple of dishes, but it isn't Austin unless the menu prices are a little inflated right?

Wasn’t this a magical find! A delightful little grocer you’d normally find in the footprint of a downtown condo. It also contains a French bistro that offers a menu to satisfy all. We took the internet’s advice and started with a Pomme Dauphine- delicious! While savoring them slowly I was really speculating how to recreate at home. The internet tells me to just return here and order them again. The amount of time and effort makes them worth every penny. And the roe is a bonus. We also ordered Chicken Paillard. The sauce was like a creamy hug but the capers a nice surprise. The greens and veg made you feel like you made good choices but the taste was pure yum. Husband got the French onion soup and carrots. Our waitress delivered the soup with an extra spoon and a wink. I have NEVER had a broth so delicious and velvety. His carrots were also made perfectly. We were surprised with the topping of nuts but he loved it. The dish was made for him. We’d like to try other items next time but it’ll be hard not to simply repeat order.

Our service was excellent. Stephie was attentive and also gave us plenty of time to talk and enjoy our meal. We started with Pomme Dauphine and Escargot. They were both delicious. My Bride does not enjoy escargot. But, she did enjoy the crusty baguette and garlic butter. We shared two entrees...thinking one would be enough. We ate the crispy Chicken Paillard, which was delicious. After that, we tasted the duck before it was boxed up. The duck was better than the Paillard. The chocolate mousse was the only dish that did not live up to the other dishes. Dense pudding texture. Mousse should be light, or at least have some air in it. Cream with the mousse was good and the edible flowers were a nice visual touch.

Terrible service, okay food (except the duck-- each bite tasted like a salt packet). They mentioned the kitchen being way behind, so maybe they were just having an off night.
