We’d seen images of Burro’s toasties when we were researching street food in Austin so we were keen to visit. We ordered a Waylon & Willie (jack and cheddar cheese, with caramelised onions, pepperoncini and maple bacon sauce). Entirely by own our mistake, we thought this would include small pepperonis, but pepperoncinis are actually chilli peppers so my wife picked hers out. The cheese and bread were great, but overall the flavour of the maple sauce was just too sweet and kind of overwhelmed the sandwich. I’d say that some of the other menu options might have been better, but all of them had some sweet element in too so I’m not sure on that. Not a bad toastie, just not what we’d hoped for.

My friend ordered a sandwich with gluten free bread (he has celiac) and the employee decided to substitute with regular bread without notifying him. To top it all off, she still charged him the upcharge for gluten free bread. Didn't even offer a refund. Not acceptable.

One of my favorite food trucks in Austin. You can't go wrong with any item on the menu. My personal favorite is the Via 206 with the sweetness of the fig glaze.

I had a grilled cheese with pepperoncini peppers. It fell on the sweet side and wasn't my cup of tea honestly. Staff was friendly but I just wouldn't go back based on the food.

A $12 grilled cheese should be full of cheese and ingredients. I paid $12 for toast that cheese walked past once.

This place works with high quality ingredients, a well-thought-out menu, and a clear passion for serving good food. The flavors they put together take a 'plain ol' grilled cheese' and turn it into a whole gourmet meal. Plus, when you get your sandwich, you'll feel like you didn't pay ENOUGH for it. It's standard food truck prices; $11-$14 for a sandwich. But what they give you is enormous, tasty, and well-worth the cost. My experience has been with the location at Hi Sign Brewing on Shady Lane, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! Food allergies aside, if you like bread and cheese (and come on, who doesn't?) please give this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

Chefs kiss! I got the Waylon & Willie with a Mexican coke and it was perfect. Cooked perfectly well with crispy outsides, melted cheese, and not very greasy . The toppings didn't overpower the cheese, and while I never would have put these toppings together, it was fantastic. Quick and easy to order and receive my food, and the staff was very friendly!

I got the Long Tall Texan and it was so good! It has sourdough, aged cheddar, brisket, and a Serrano pineapple sauce. The sauce isn't spicy though, which I made sure to clarify before because I can't handle spice. It's all delicious and would eat here again!

Food truck located in the parking lot of Hi-Sign Brewing's new location on Shady Lane. Friendly staff. Order was completed in 10 minutes. The grilled cheese was very cheesy and tastes great! I really enjoyed the sourdough used for the sandwich; it was grilled perfectly. There is also a bottle of habanero sauce at the pickup window that you can spice up your sandwich if you'd like. It is pretty pricy for a grilled cheese sandwich, but I'd still recommend coming here for a quick snack or lunch if you're in the area. The one downside is the seating for the food truck is all outside and there's very little shade. You can grab a drink at Hi-Sign brewing and sit and the air conditioned taproom.

Burro's grilled cheeses had been hyped up for a long time, so I was super excited to visit the food truck on Rainey Street! I got the waylon & willie which was aged cheddar, Gouda, caramelized onions and pepperoncinis all grilled between two pieces of sourdough bread. The sandwich was pretty solid. It was grilled to a perfect crisp and the onions and pepperoncinis complemented the gooey cheese. However my favorite part of the meal was dipping the grilled cheese into the habanero yellowbird sauce. The sauce was super spicy but still retained lots of flavors and really added to the salty/savory feel of these. It wasn't the best sandwich or grilled cheese I've had, but it's definitely up there. Overall the food truck had a dope vibe and long lines (def worth the wait)!

They won't return emails or phone calls for orders. They have an employee that may be currently cyber stalking me and this business is not taking that seriously. My opinion mis management of this business and the non management of their employees could lead to the business going under.

Did not accept my buy one get one coupon because of the "festival" happening. Food came out cold the first time and wrong the second. $20 for a basic grilled cheese and rude service? No thanks! I ended up eating at jack in the box and it was much better food and service than the "gourmet" Burro.
