Banh Mi was just a cheap white roll, not a baguette, that couldn't hold up to the sloppy meat filling. Lemongrass beef tasted nice, but was obviously from the stir-fry dish and not suited for a sandwich. No pickled carrots either. Food is made in the Pho Tin restaurant. Worst banh mi in North Austin.

I ordered lunch from them through our office's Lunch Drop. I hope they never have this place on the menu again. I ordered the Chicken & Rice plate. What it was supposed to come with according to their menu was chicken, garlic rice, roasted veggies and pickled veggies. What I got was a raw egg on some dry chicken with plain white rice and no roasted veggies or pickled veggies, it was some raw veggies on lettuce with no dressing. A sad attempt at a salad isn't close to what you indicated I would receive. I had to drown that chicken in some soy sauce I had from another place to even make it somewhat edible. I like a good sunny side up egg as much as the next person, but I don't want it to be so raw that the white part that isn't cooked is as thick and slimy as the white part that is cooked. You can't be eating raw eggs here in the US, our eggs are not meant to be eaten like that unless you want to get some salmonella, and I'm not trying to get that.If you're not going to serve what you have on your menu, then change your menu! I can guarantee that no one from our office will ever order from this place, because they messed up everyone's order who ordered from here.

I've eaten a lot of Vietnamese food in Austin and I hate to say it, you can do a LOT better than Cafe Fin. The food was mediocre: my wife's Pho Tai was just blah: the broth was not really interesting/tasty and the meat was only ok; portion serving was small. My Bun with lemongrass beef was edible, but unlike any Bun I've had before - the meat was not grilled, it was almost like a bolognese sauce. Small portion size. Everything was edible, but Phonatic across the street is much better with 20% cheaper prices and a broader menu. Tan My is less than 3 miles away and blows the socks off of this place. The service was inattentive, at best and there's no atmosphere at all. This is NOT the former Pho Thaison (sp?), this seems to be new ownership/new chef and sadly everything's gone downhill
