Staff is very rude. Both ladies at the front had an attitude and didn’t look like they wanted to serve the customers.

Very small interior still comfy. Coffee was very dark roast in my latte. Wish they mentioned this before hand. The latte was okay. Wish it was a bit more foamy.

I visited Capitol Cafe in Austin, Texas for the first time and chose one of their popular drinks off their menu, their Bluebonnet Frappe but asked for it to be made into an iced latte. This drink was by far one of the best tasting iced lattes I have ever had, to me the combination of the flavoured syrups were well-paired together and had just the right amount of sweetness and flavour! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the cafe had a nice, historic atmosphere and also had some seating outside on Congress Avenue, hence the 'Capitol Cafe' name. I will definitely try to visit again if time permits, thank you! :)

Fantastic location on a great breezy day over in Austin. Right by the Capitol. Amazing outdoors seating for great ambiance inside as well. The service was great as well. I got the Texas Honey latte and I was surprised how smooth and tasty it was. Will come again.

Cafe is a quick walk from the capital building. Food is overpriced. It was a Saturday and the cafeteria in the capital was closed. Needed something close and kinda quick. I ordered a pizza and coffee. Coffee was delicious but pizza was burnt. I expected it to be mediocre for the price but not burnt.

Oh my god I’m laughing so hard. Coffee tasted burnt. Muffin was not great. Interaction I just watched between ‘barista’ and customer;Customer; my coffee is cold.Barista lady; well you asked for whipped cream on it. That’s cold. It’s going to cool it down.Customer; it’s always warm at Starbucks.Barista; well we’re not Starbucks.2nd employee; I can put it in the microwave for you.Won’t return. Still laughing. So terrible.

I frequent this cafe during the week and I must say that I appreciate the consistency in their coffee making skills. The staff has always been friendly to me and they have a great selection of food, coffee and many other drinks including wine and beer. I really like the breakfast sandwiches that the CapitolCafe has as well. The location of the Cafe is great as well located one block south of the Capital itself just off Congress ave. I like to grab a coffee and walk around the Capital on the weekends just because of the cafe being here. I would recommend trying them out and coming in with a friendly mindset. They are a hard working team.

Only coffee. It was watery and the cappuccino was more whip cream than coffee. The prices were super expensive.

The coffee is very good here, as are the snack food offerings: sweets, muffins, etc. I just wished that they had a chocolate muffin, although I wouldn't downgrade them for not offering one. The decor is very unique: items from the legislature, as well as pictures of notable personas. I love the custom State of Texas touches. I also love their coffee! You never know who you see in here, many notables stop in.

There is not much food in that area of downtown on Sunday morning. The sausage, egg and bagel sandwich was greasey. Precooked, microwave heated. There is so much good food in Austin walk a little to find it. Good coffee.
