The food was alright for a quick lunch. I ordered the catfish and shrimp. Quick and affordable for lunch.

I was craving Cajun food and found this place, wish i hadn't really. I'm pretty sure this cook has never been to Louisiana in his life. The gumbo tasted like it had bouillon in it, was both watery and slimy because it was practically okra soup. I've only left a bowl of gumbo unfinished once before and that was because it was full of tomatoes.
The crawfish etouffee was somehow gritty and they tried to hide the lack of flavor with cayenne.
Lastly, the hush puppies were gummy balls of grease. I'm pretty sure this is the ONLY time I've ever left hush puppies uneaten. The gummy interior even separated from the outside shell. Just gross.

Ordered the fried catfish, and the portion size was generous for the price. The catfish was crispy and well-cooked, but could have used more flavorful seasoning to really stand out. Overall, the meal was satisfying and affordable. Would definitely return to try other menu items and see how they compare.

Atmosphere was as might be expected. Cute exterior.
Fried catfish was predictable and fine.
The broiled snapper platter was a major disappointment. I got it to go to bring home for my wife and it was so hard and tough that a knife was needed to cut it (as compared to the edge of a fork). My wife couldn't / didn't eat it. It was a waste of $21.00 . Maybe I can put the fish on a roll and eat it as a sandwich just so it doesn't go in the trash. The cole slaw was good. I was hoping to find a place I would go back to; that didn't happen.
Don't park in the shady spot under the tree. The birds like to do their thing there.

Best oysters I have had since I have been in Texas. The beer is ice cold and the gumbo was superb. Not your standard NOLA gumbo but full of flavor.
