Captain Benny’s is a longtime restaurant in Central Austin serving seafood next to the Marriott. They have all the standard seafood fair, nothing fancy, but very tasty. There’s outdoor seating in addition to inside seating, and the bar is a big horseshoe shaped thing that’s kind of fun.

Casual dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Service was courteous and attentive. Snapper was fresh. The cornmeal breading was thick enough to give flavor but thin enough to not overpower the shrimp. I liked that the wait staff let us know that the kitchen was slightly backed up and there was a slight delay to the meal.

Service is great (depending on the server) we had a lovely lady who sang happy bday our grandfather when we went - there were two other people with birthdays and we sang for them too- it was great!!

Good- AMAZING the catfish was amazing as was the stuffed crab and jumbo shrimp - it was amazing

Atmosphere - I’ve been going to this establishment for 15+ years now and it feels like home 🙏😄
