Best picadillo ever ! actually that about the only thing on menu I've ordered...just wished they could add potato's to the recipe.lol. I dine there for the tacos and to enjoy time with family.
Casa Garcia is a family favorite spot, where it feels like coming home. Don't be surprised if you bum into a friend or relative. It gives me great pleasure to see so many Latinos dinning there, feels like Old Austin especially East Austin. You know it's good if you see the culture dinning there. We know if it's authentic. Please support Casa Garcia so we won't lose yet another Austin born business.

Ordered breakfast. Servers are friendly and efficient. Food items are not fresh and beans taste like from a can. Barbacoa is heated and nothing is added. Menudo is heated and not fresh. Eggs are also cooked not Mexican style. They cut corners.

The food was great the service was ok, the drinks were made way to strong and we couldn't enough them. They had a mariachi band playing, that was a nice touch and added to the atmosphere.

What are they making the margaritas with! Everclear.....Jesus!!! I literally had two and the next day I was pucking the flautas I ate. The homemade tortillas were not the bomb. The waitress was nice and very pleasant. She attended my mother quickly and for that she got a nice tip. My bill was roughly about 97.00 that's a lil deep for tex Mex. Blame the economy I suppose.

Food was just fine but the two male staff I encountered would not address me. “Hello, sir” and “good evening, sir” while turning their backs to me. The man I was with is a friend and we definitely don’t give off couple vibes, even if we did that makes me feel like an object belonging to him. They spoke only to the man I was with, but didn’t have a problem staring at me the entire meal. The man behind the counter was burning a hole in me with his stare for over an hour. Creepy as hell and made me so uncomfortable. The female server was lovely and helpful, wish I got her name.

We love there breakfast menu, I'm a fan of the menudo, I've tried other restaurants, nothing compared to CG. The manager Mary Villarreal and the Bartender Stacy, always greating us with a smile, and very professional and care about there customer. Respectfully , Fernando A.
Huevos ranchero plate was good. Barbacoa taco had great flavor bcz they did not add bay leavess like most Mexican restaurants do which is overpowering and tastes awful. Flour tortillas are always so good here!! The only thing is the servings here are skimpy for the price.

Do not order to-go from here. They don’t include the chips and salsa. The smallest size is $10 and it takes them an extra 15 minutes to get it for you.
