I've been coming to Central Donut often on for years because their kolaches and pastries and donuts are so good. My favorite is the pictured spinach and feta and I have to say of all the ones that I've gotten from here. I probably ended up taking a picture of one of the ones that looks the worst, which tells you something about how good they look. And they taste better than they look. My favorite donuts to get are the old-fashioned. I like to order one of each, but as you'll note in the picture, there are three donuts this is because they give you an extra one when you order two. The family that runs this place is really nice. The service is quick. They've added different coffees as well as cold drinks so you have a pretty wide choice of beverages. This is a small family run place in a strip center behind a Wendy's and Walgreens, and next to the post office. If you live near North Central Austin it's definitely worth a trip.

Delicious breakfasts, fair prices and friendly staff. Whether I'm craving a sweet doughnut or a hearty breakfast sandwich this is my go to spot. They are sooo much better than the nearby big corporate franchises with better taste and quality but still at a reasonable price. The sausage used in both the breakfast sandwiches and the kolaches are savory and flavorful. Kolache with cheese, sausage and jalapeno is my favorite and they do have some heat but not too much. Hard to pick a favorite donut because they are all pretty darn good. Austin used to be full of places like this but now they are rare. Glad to have this one so close by! Oh and they do big orders too where you call them in ahead of time. Great way to be the office hero by brining in sweets and eats from Central Donut!

The Apple Fritters were the best! All of the donuts we tried were delicious. Way better than the chains. The service was outstanding. It was our first visit, but won't be our last!

Delicious donuts and kolaches, and great service! Their cake donuts were too dense for my taste. They had a great drink selection.Their breakfast sandwich on a biscuit is really interesting but really good- the bread is like kolache bread. We loved the donut holes.Good place overall

From their service to their baked goods, there's nothing I don't like. The young lady behind the counter "Philly" is a wonderful young lady. She's always ready with a smile on her face. She greets you by name and is attentive as if you're the only customer in the store when she is helping you. All her donuts are exceptional, the kolaches are top notch. Prefer something else? They have breakfast sandwiches, breakfast muffins and breakfast croissants that will make you question why you bothered to go to the Golden Arches!This is a small local business and it certainly deserves our support.

Donuts are my guilty pleasure, but I'm picky about them. I've seen this place over the years, but never stopped by until today. Wow! I should've stopped by years ago. . . .or maybe not because then I would be 50 lbs heavier. Their donuts are so soft and delicious. They definitely beat out the chains and Round Rock donuts (not a fan, sorry!). We also had a kolache and that was good as well. I'm glad this place isn't very close to where I live, but I'll definitely be back!
