Central Machine Works is a great spot with a cool vibe, perfect for eating indoors or out. The pizzas are good — and huge! Definitely easy to share, so come hungry or bring friends. A fun, laid-back place to hang out with solid food.

Great atmosphere open concept seating indoors & out, pizza was good with thin and crispy crust, lemon pepper wings also great.

Good happy hour (T-F till 6pm; $4 pints), but the beer is fine and the setting is not super comfortable. Probable decent for a concert. Go if you live nearby but don't travel for.

This is my favorite place to hang out with friends in Austin! They have a great selection of beers and really good pizza. The atmosphere is always great , with live music, and when UT is playing they put the game on the big screen. It’s the perfect spot for a casual night out. Also pretty sick it used to be WW2 airplane part production shop, as well as an airplane hangar.

Really nice vibe. Parking is at the rear if the building so use Justine's as your destination if you want to park there. Good pizzas and beer selection.

I visited this brewery after Fleet Feet hosted a run club here. There was plenty of seating, good people, and a decent amount of parking.

I had some of their beers on tap and I enjoyed them. There are plenty of options for beers and I’m not a huge beer drinker so I just got what a pale American and it was fine. This place is known for its pizza so I ordered one for myself and my fiancée.

For $26, a pizza must fundamentally change my life in my opinion and this pizza was just okay. I found the cheese to be sweet which I like but the sauce just wasn’t rich enough so I will say on food I wasn’t very impressed for the price. I ordered the Machinist which is pepperoni, roasted peppers, mozzarella, and more.

Service was ok, the bartenders seemed a little standoffish but otherwise worth a visit for a good time!

The place is geared toward music as there are multiple stages.
The inner bar area is great.
The beer list is adequate.
I had the west coast ioa and hazy.
Both were acceptable yet the west coast is more of an American ipa and not much in the punchy hop department.
I had the burger and queso.
Both were tasty and a fair price.
The decor is of a machine shop which I love!
The bartenders were very attentive.
I would return.

This is my number one go-to spot for burgers and delicious microbrews. All their food is good and they’re known for their pizza, but the burger is highly underrated! I’m a big fan of all their in-house brews, but especially their frozen espresso martini. I love coming here for happy hours, lunch, dinner, and to catch a show or a game every once in a while.

Great atmosphere, beer and pizza...
Beers and pizza even improved from the past (were always good)...

I’ve been to Central Machine Works more times than I care to admit because, honestly, the space is incredible—big, open, and perfect for hanging out with friends. But no matter how often I give it another shot, the experience is ruined by some of the rudest staff in Austin.

What makes it even worse is that there isn’t even table service here—you have to order everything at the bar. That would be fine if the bartenders didn’t act so consistently dismissive and annoyed every time you approach. It’s like you’re bothering them just by existing.

It’s a shame because this place could be a true gem, but the attitude behind the bar makes it pretty unbearable. If you’re willing to overlook consistently unwelcoming service for the sake of the atmosphere, maybe you’ll still enjoy it. Personally, I’m done trying to convince myself it’ll get better.

Have a great time. The pizza is yammy.

The pickle pizza is by far the best pizza in Austin. Full stop. Honestly it’s my favorite pizza of all time. Whoever came up with it, I love you.

How is an $8 pretzel that small? How are you out of over half of your beers?
