I won a bid on a private chef dinner catered for two by Chef Gil that was donated by him to the Links Lone Star (TX) Chapter’s 10th anniversary celebration event for a silent auction to raise scholarship funds for youth in the greater Austin area.
Chef Gil arrived promptly on time, was engaging and efficient in preparing our meal. The dinner included a carrot/ginger soup that was absolutely divine, a Caesar salad, and braised oxtails with rice and pigeon peas. Everything was beautifully plated. He was in and out within an hour and cleaned up the kitchen when he finished too!
The service was good, food was delicious, and Chef was a delight to have in our home. I am already thinking of other instances I might use him in the future. Book him…it is well worth it.

We booked a tasting with this vendor who gave us info on how tasting would go last minute. we paid immediately for the tasting and on day of the tasting he never showed up. We gave him an hour and a half to show up and never did he once reach out that he was running behind. We ended up canceling our tasting so he never cooked for us or provided us with any cooked or uncooked food. My in laws specifically came to town to do this tasting who live 5 hours away. when I asked for my money back ($200) he said he would give me only $150 back because he already bought the food.I requested that he give me my entire payment back but he refused. I protested it with my credit card company and still have not been able to get my money back. This man took money from us that we could use towards our wedding. I'm sure he knows how expensive everything is since I know he is engaged himself and planning a Wedding. Seems like if you're not a famous football player Chef Gil won't respect your time or money! Bad business!

We live in Seattle and our friends live in Austin. They were dealing with a lot of stuff so we wanted to send them some prepared, yummy meals. We found Chef Gil. Our friends loved the 4 dishes. Very tasty.

Chef Gil made a superb dinner for our group on the last day of our trip in Greece. He gave a choice of sea bass or salmon with a fresh Greek salad and roasted potatoes. Presentation was on point and the food tasted amazing. I highly recommend him and will be using him again!
