We celebrated our anniversary here this night and they really made it special for us. They wrapped the table in pretty ribbon and gave us a really nice complimentary cake that was very good. We were blown away by dessert selection they offered and everything we had was wonderful. We will definitely be returning.

Unfortunately the food was okay at best. We came in ready to like this place after all the stellar reviews but magicians at Easter brunch? Balloon animal artists? Not sure what to make of that. Surf and turf eggs Benedict was tough and mostly inedible. Again, we wanted to like this place and support local but the overall experience was odd and unfortunate.

We've never been disappointed with the food and usually not the service. Once the food was delivered the next time we saw our server was to get the bill. The server walked past us at least four times and didn't ask about the meal or offer to refill our water and coffee. I finally made a couple of trips to the service area and got our own coffee refills.

My family and I have been going to Chez Zee every year for Easter or Mother's Day or both since 1999. I was disappointed when we were seated today by the waiters work bench. I thought that as a longtime customer we would get much better seating. I made my reservations in early March, as I'm used to how the restaurant sells out on these two holidays. Additionally. I got one of my favorite entrees the classic eggs Benedict. Unfortunately each of the two eggs only covered half of the half of English muffin they are served on. Not the case in all the other years. As usual, the staff is terrific!

I always feel comfortable and at home there. Love to eat at the bar. Drinks are good and food tastes good. People are friendly and everyone seems happy. A comforting atmosphere. So glad Chez Zee has survived and is still Old Austin.

Went for brunch. The place was super busy and very loud. The croissant and jam were really good. I ordered the breakfast in bed the french toast was my favorite part of the breakfast plate. I was disappointed it wasn’t other breakfast meat options besides pork sausage or bacon. I also had a Lemon Pomegranate it was delicious.

A great place, an Austin icon. Usually it is pretty busy. I would recommend a reservation. The food is all good, especially their bread and desserts. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Parking: Lot can be full as the restaurant is very popular.
Came here on Valentines night with my boyfriend, there was an issue with the printer receipt and it said the card had not gone through. Our sweet server came back and told us of this issue however it went through on our end so she grabbed the manager named Devon or Devin. DEVON WAS INCREDIBLY DISMISSIVE AND DISRESPECTFUL. He dismissed us with a couple of sentences and walked away. However, returned with two checks that showed he in fact was in the wrong. He gave us some HALF ASS apology and tried running away before I stopped him. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE WE BEEN TREATED WITH SUCH DISRESPECT. He needs to be FIRED from the MANAGEMENT TEAM and look into retirement. Deborah, Manager of Operations said she would sit down with him and the manager and give me an update and I have yet to receive one. Will not be coming back here.

Came here for a birthday brunch on a Saturday! The ambience and service was stellar! The food was ok, kind of a disappointment when compared to everything else. This place is an Austin classic so it's fun to come, but our dishes didn't quite meet expectations. The croissants were delicious, as was the cake we tried!

We didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant as we waited outside in the cold for what would be a 10 minute wait. The bar was available but being very clearly pregnant, we requested a table and the rude host up front noted the request. Unfortunately 10 minutes turned into 30 minutes and several tables were sat ahead of us, who had no wait at all. Once our “table” was ready, they had …a bar table to offer. Unfortunate experience - watched them treat others the same - wouldn’t recommend due to the very inconsiderate and blatantly mean folks running the show.
