China Family is the best Szechuan in Austin, hands down. Others are too salty, not spicy enough, not enough of the main dish. It's pricy-ish, but imo it is very worth it! I pick up their beef in chili oil at least once a month—it's worth the trek!

The owner lady was very rude and obnoxious…… she was kinda loco…. Would never eat here again….And she gave her self a $5 tip after I said I wasn’t going to leave a tip for the rude and obnoxious attitude. What weirdo…..

The decor/exterior of the restaurant may not be much to look at but the food was great as the kung pao chicken was very flavorful and made of high quality, the service was good and the prices were moderate, the waitress was a total sweetheart, this is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to since moving to Texas three years ago.

Gotta be one of the worst Chinese takeouts I've ever had. The beef lo mein was incredibly bland, had just a couple pieces of beef and an almost comically small amount of vegetables in it. It was a couple shreds of carrot and a few specks of maybe cabbage? The noodles could have very possibly been linguine noodles as the texture was off. This dish was $17. I've had $8 entrees that were far superior. I was kind of leery of the reviews but thought some of the online pictures made the food look really good. Never again.

Very much enjoyed take out from China Family. Fried rice and lo mein were delicious. Very friendly staff. Will certainly go back.
We come here every couple of months. Portion size is pretty satisfying. I got combination lo mein which has chicken, been and shrimp in it. It is pretty good!

I liked it. Best American Chinese I've had in quite some time. Would have loved house made hot mustard but nobody's perfect :)

I like this location rather than the other. It's bright and clean feeling. They have typical schezuan food that I love. I can't get enough mala. This is a smaller restaurant so be careful of peak times. Portions are generous. You can find American-Chinese food and more traditional dishes. They usually have one woman serving tables, she works fast and service is good. Take out has been easy as well, food is hot and ready.

Ordered tofu with veg from the lunch menu. The schezuan food was flavorful and quickly served. The chicken with vegetables, the chonqing chicken were all good. I still think Asia Cafe is the best Austin, followed by Wuchow, but this would be a third.
