I’m really disappointed with this Church’s Chicken location (1945 W. William Cannon, Austin, TX). They have two different signs posted by the window and drive-thru with conflicting prices for the same 16-piece meal — one says $30.99, another says $31.99, but when we ordered, we were charged $36.99 instead.

When we asked the cashier why it was higher, he said we should’ve said “Go Grande” when ordering — but nowhere on the signs does it mention that! How is any customer supposed to know that?

Even after pointing out the signs and showing the price difference, the cashier didn’t fix it or offer a refund. This feels misleading and unprofessional.

It’s a shame because I really love the taste of their chicken — and normally we choose it over other chicken like Popeye’s etc but this experience with the pricing and customer service was very disappointing. I hope management corrects the signage and trains staff to honor the prices clearly displayed on their windows.

I ordered an 8-piece dark chicken and an 8-piece spicy boneless wings with honey mustard sauce.

Let’s start with the boneless wings:
Impressively juicy with a nice, light crunch to the breading—though not very spicy. The honey mustard sauce is also a top-tier fast food contender.

8-piece dark chicken:
That same signature breading from the wings makes an appearance here, and it’s very welcome. Crunchy, light, and juicy inside—they really know how to do fried chicken.

The vibe was quiet and a bit empty, but the chicken seemed freshly fried, and the service was passable. God bless the franchise chickens of the world.

No idea what is going on here but showed up at 10:30 am, waited in drive through for around 5 mins, no acknowledgement. Decided to go in and order, door locked, lady behind counter never acknowledged I was there. Went to one off pleasant valley area, got good service there.

Tasty fried chicken compare to others bands. Not salty.

I got there to pick up a delivery and they didn’t had the food ready I was supposed to pick it up at 10:19 am and I got the order at 10:30ish my point is that DoorDash gives us a time to pick up the order and drop it off

Placed online order at 10:00am for pick up at 3:15pm. Standing in the lobby waiting for the order because they only had 1/4 of the order ready on time. Waiting for chicken to be cooked. Order was finally ready 40 minutes late . We were offered a drink while we wait which is nice. Five hours notice should have been adequate to prepare our order. Very disappointed. Spent over $200. 4 - 16 pc family meals

Uodate: No drive thru line and inside maybe 1-2 people and waiting in line over 5 minutes for my order to be taken. Not sure what they’re doing here. I haven’t been here in a while but it is still poor service.

This location never has spicy chicken, never has breast, employees are never apologetic..
