First time at Chuy's, and we were not disappointed. The young man who served us was very attentive, and extremely polite. We enjoyed all of our food. Chuy's will be a regular for us.

Paid well over 100 dollars for fajitas and only got a handful amount of beef and chicken, while we got more than enough tortillas. If this is worth 100 dollars, you are better off ordering from somewhere else.
I like the Elvis dish. They will allow substitutions.

Great food, good service, booths are a little tight if you're not very slender. No senior discounts. But prices are somewhat reasonable. Sparse handicap parking and abundant curbside pick up parking... queso is amazing, great chips and a lot of enchilada options. We'll be back and would recommend to our friends.

We have been going to Chuy's for 30 years. We are big fans of Chuy's and love their food and atmosphere. We often go to the one in Dallas since we live in East Texas now. We have also been to the one in Tyler in the past year. Thirty years ago when we lived in Austin we were regulars at the Research Blvd location. That said, we have always enjoyed the food at Chuy's. We are visiting in Austin this week, and decided to go to Chuy's to get some of our favorite food. But yesterday, at the Lamar location, we ordered a couple of meals and had a hard time eating much of them. My husband had the Comida plate and I had the Rellenos plate. Everything on both of those plates looked and smelled exactly like they always do, but the food was way too salty. We brought most of the food home with us but we may have to just toss it. I don't know if all of the chefs at this location use this much salt or if we just caught them on a bad day. The excessive salt ruined what otherwise would have been a good meal for us. When we mentioned this to our waiter he did not show concern or apologize--he just said everything is cooked on site.

Food was tasty, margaritas were weak. However service left a lot to be desired. Wrong order input by waiter caused a split up meal and a disappointing dining experience. No offer to make things right. Excuse was it was their first day. Unlikely as no one was shadowing the waiter. This location has passed its prime as the sketchy area has taken over. Hours after we were home they texted they were taking us off the waitlist. I guess they never realized we were there after explicitly telling them when we arrived we were on the list.
