Cisco’s Restaurant, Bar & Bakery – East Austin. A true East Austin institution with 75 years of history and family-run charm, Cisco’s definitely earns points for nostalgia and character. The space is tiny but quaint, filled with old-school Tex-Mex vibes that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a slice of Austin’s past. I ordered the carne guisada and migas tacos with water • both were okay, but lacked the bold flavor I was hoping for. The tortillas weren’t homemade, which surprised me given how long this place has been around. I remember having a similar experience years ago, so maybe I just haven’t found my go-to order here yet. Parking was a headache; honestly spent more time circling the block than sitting down to eat. That said, the waitress was lovely and attentive, and the festive, colorful interior added a nice touch to the overall experience. Cisco’s is undeniably cool for its legacy and local roots, but I’d love to see the tortillas elevated to match the heritage. Not sure if I’ll be back, but I respect what they represent in Austin’s food scene. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Doesn’t get any better than this from Coach Royal to Ben Crenshaw we’re all welcome. One of my top place to eat ever!

Love the atmosphere and vintage ish feel. The servers or the time it took for order was long. Also we weren’t able to get seperate checks, it’s the weekend I understand but the place wasn’t busy.
Food was decent the biscuits are great.

Best migas in Austin
Great little diner that’s been there forever, I appreciate the staple places that have sustained a good presence even though everything around them has changed. Feels nice to step back in time where classic diners were familiar and you could expect a decent sized meal.

A cute spot but food was highly underwhelming we weren’t able to finish eating. We ordered a sausage biscuit, a migas biscuit, bean & cheese taco, and the breakfast plate but seemed like it was frozen breakfast foods heated up and served on a plate.

May every tongue that rises against Ciscos fall. This is as close to a home cooked meal you’re ever going to get on East 6th.

Came here from La Perla over the road with my friend as we worked SXSW and had some Fajitas. It was quiet when we went but still a great environment, got chatting with a local. Great little place!

Sergio, Lydia, and Norma are the best. With their powers combined, the taco gods bless their customers with love, kindsness, and a full belly.

Just lots on memories of way back. Food was all ways good.
If you like food, this is not the place for you. Very awesome environment and art murals on the outside, makes good spot for photo ops. Service is good, but unfortunately my food was not. Fair prices and easy for walk ins.
