We ordered the vegetarian taco with the fried avocado and loved it better than the chicken taco ... not because the chicken taco wasn't scrumptious but because the flavors in the vegetarian taco were refreshingly unlike any other taco I have had at a food trailer. The freshness of the ingredients in our order--we had one chicken, one al pastor and the vegetarian--really makes this place a stand out. The service was friendly. I asked for advice and the server answered all my "picky eater" questions without making me feel like the problem child that I am. Also, have to say that we loved the atmosphere at the Thicket. Its the type of local, Austin place that I love to support.

Quick service and the food is BOMB. Cheap for how big the tacos are, they really don’t skimp on toppings. You can tell right away that the meat is high quality. Wasn’t overly greasy at all. Great lunch spot

I am obsessed with this place now! So many tacos trucks and many of them misses but this one is a huge hit!
The portion size are bigger than I thought they would be! They're so worth the price.
The consume, the seasoning of the meat, the salsas... all of it is just delicious! I love that they actually put pineapple on their Al pastor tacos. Not many places add pineapple anymore.
This is definitely a place where you want to try everything in the menu and prob won't want to share.

Lived in Los Angeles for 10 years, this Birria brings back those memories. Corn tortillas look homemade, the birria Ramen is amazing flavor.
And if you like super spicy, which I do, you can ask for the secret black sauce which isn't on the menu ;)

Straight up the best breakfast tacos I’ve ever had. Next level.
Did not disappoint at all. The food and service were great. I was happy the new location opened closer to me. I got 3 tacos, and my friend showed up, so I gave her 1, and I was happy she got to try CJ's taco for the first time, but sad, I only had 2 tacos left?. I highly recommend trying these guys out.
Parking: Park around the edges and don't blow the one road.
Kid-friendliness: Little play ground type area in the middle and open space to move around.
Wheelchair accessibility: Gravel everywhere so wheelchair unless It's powered might be a challenge.

CJ’s at the thicket is hands down the best taco truck in south Austin. Alex (cashier) and his father run the best father/son operation and my fiancé and I visit them every week for 2.99 customizable breakfast tacos that look like mini burritos (as many ingredients as you’d like!) Don’t sleep on their birria consume and tacos! JUST GO :)
