Clark's is such a special spot. I personally don't love sitting inside because they have such a cozy little patio and I love sitting out there on a cool evening as the sun begins to set. It's surrounded by trees, warm lights, and neon signs. But we snagged a last minute reservation and all that was available was standard seating. They really set the mood as the evening progresses with the tea light candles and dimmed lights. We were greeted and seated immediately. Carrie was our waitress and she was friendly, attentive, warm and so easy going. It had been a while since I had dinner here but I knew I wanted crudo plate, it is probably my favorite item from the cold bar. Clark's is a treat. If you're on vacation in ATX, it's a must. Or on any day where you feel like having the freshest, delectable seafood.

We had such a nice time here for our birthdays. First off the food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the - Queens cup and Cadillac oysters - Benanti etna bianco wine - Whole branzino (so tender and moist, such good quality fish) - Table bread (sourdough with butter and salt) The service though was particularly impressive. I wish I could recall our waitress' name because she absolutely nailed my dietary restrictions and made me feel safe and looked out for along the way by warning me when menu items contained additional ingredients etc. What a great dinner!

Went to Clark’s Oyster Bar for lunch and had a wonderful anniversary celebration. The service was really attentive and friendly, with little details like a happy anniversary postcard on the table when we arrived. Sat outside, set back from the road, under a tree and their lovely yellow awnings, it was great to be outside. Cocktails were beautifully crafted, with strong flavours and a good amount of alcohol, and food arrived timely to the table. We had Oysters to start, which looked beautifully presented on a large metal dish of crushed ice with shaved horseradish and condiments, as well as the most delicious starter in their Tuna Carpaccio. This is an amazingly crafted dish, how they get their tuna to such a thin yet beautifully firm and flavoursome presentation shows real craft, complimented by all the olives, capers & sunflower sprouts, it’s a star dish. We had the lobster roll, a staple dish which could easily be shortcut, but every detail has gone in to elevate this dish too. The brioche roll was caramelised perfectly, huge perfect lettuce leaves cradled a very generous amount of delicate lobster, and a huge bowl of rosemary shoestring fries and a fresh ‘slaw to side, it just looked amazing and tasted so too. Finished off with a delicious key lime pie, and a torched Swiss meringue on the side, this was one of the best of many meals we had on our holiday to the USA. Highly recommend and would certainly go back if we visit Austin again and try their evening sitting, which I imagine with the fairy lights in the tree’s, would be just as magical. Thank You.

Easily the best meal I had in Austin. I sat at the bar by myself and had a great time. I ordered a sparkling rose, ceviche, and clam chowder. I eat new England clam chowder IN New England pretty often and THIS was easily the best chowder I've ever had in my life!! The sourdough bread they serve was fantastic as well. I also had the chocolate mousse for dessert and it did not disappoint. Ever have a meal that you know you'll never forget? This was it!I was just visiting, but Clarke's will be a must every time I'm on Austin. Absolutely fantastic!!

Went here for happy hour and it was amazing! Martinis were perfect, the oysters and steak tartare were so fresh! The interior is so cute and felt like I was on the east coast. Huge shout out to the staff, especially Price for making us feel so welcomed.

We went with 4 to Sunday brunch today. We had a reservation and were seated right away (they did not require the full party first). We ordered the kale and goat cheese omelet, grits, the lobster roll, cauliflower, scrambled eggs, Clark's fries and golden beets. The food was excellent. I myself had the beets. The combination between the earthy beets, sweet honey, crunchy walnuts, bitter radicchio and pungent blue cheese is excellent. Told with fresh, crunchy pear slices it was a feast for my mouth. The variety of flavors and textures keeps our senses interested and engaged. I had the Kilogram green tea which complemented the meal. 2 in our party had the cold brew coffee and commented that it was not as good as the one they had a few years ago. I would go back.

Clark's Oyster Bar: This lively restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating on a patio, boasting a convenient location in the heart of Austin.Dishes to Try* Crudo Plate: A visually appealing selection of four fresh fish varieties accompanied by a zesty lemon vinaigrette, wasabi, capers, chopped red onions, and chives. While the red onions could be slightly more subtle, the overall dish shines with its freshness and flavor profile.* Lobster Roll: This daily special boasts exceptionally fresh lobster served open-faced on perfectly crisp shoestring fries. A true standout.Additional Notes* A dozen oysters were ordered, including Cadillac, Stag, and East Cape varieties.* The Crab Louie Salad was satisfactory, but not necessarily a must-order.* Don't forget the Key Lime Pie! Perfection.Overall ImpressionClark's Oyster Bar provided a fantastic dining experience overall. The restaurant's enticing menu and fresh ingredients make it a place worth revisiting.

My partner and I ate here recently for a birthday dinner, and it was a perfect dining experience. They went above and beyond with the notes/requests I'd included in my reservation, and the service was perfect. Most importantly, the food was excellent. I spent much of my life in New England, and worked for two years at a notable seafood restaurant outside of Boston, and the shrimp, oysters, mussels, and clams we got at Clark's were some of the best I've had anywhere—certainly the best I've had so far in Texas by far.

Seafood is fresh which is ultimately what you’re coming for. Only complaint is the atmosphere and lack of wheelchair accessibility. The music is WAY too loud during the day if you’re sitting inside, and you’re sitting two feet away from the tables next to you. Wouldn’t recommend having meetings or dates here unless you sit outside.
