Nice place to get a cup of coffee
Like others, I came across slow service, although in my case I think they forgot me altogether.
Also food seems good but they are often out of some items.
It's nice inside and had a good patio so I may keep trying.
The people that work here are so kind. Love this place. My new hood!
Very cutie vibes with a nice view.
It was a relaxing place to take a break from the ER waiting room at the vet, so it was much appreciated!
Side note: I think it would be cool if they had more local art on the wall VS. what's currently in there. I only say that bc the shopping strip it's in feels very corporate, and it could benefit from some warmth or extra personality. I know it actually doesn't matter hahah.
Working remotely from here while I was waiting for my dog's discharge from outpatient surgery procedure. Place is ok, typical Coffee Shop in a business area. Definitely better than Starbucks, but nothing special.
Who eats an English muffin straight out of the bag? Egg, 'bacon fat strip' (1 thin slimy barely cooked fat strip) & cheddar cheese breakfast sandwich, $5.50 on dry raw muffin, standard fried egg, no seasoning and 1 thin piece of fat! Desperate for sustenance? Maybe try the coffee with lots of cream, or better yet, walk to the nearest McDonalds.
Great service and the Sweet Cream Cold Brew was delicious (not overly milky which I appreciate).
Jada the pleasure of visiting after a dental visit to catch a conf call. Quaint shop...homey feel. Great breakfast selection and the coffee was great. Wished it was closer to me.
To be perfectly honest, the food is outrageously bad and their lunch menu selection leaves much to be desired. Bland, underwhelming, and nowhere near worth the equally outrageous costs. I went to try them after seeing beloved Coffee Shark was gone (although they, too, were way overpriced), and will not be trying them again.

UPDATE: I responded via email to the reply on my review of Russell's. Whomever is running that end of things could not have been faster or more sincere in the steps they took to make things right. It was enough to encourage me try the place again the next time I find myself in the area.
* * * * * Five star rating for service. Thanks, Russell's.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Nothing special. Woman at the counter was friendly. Atmosphere is on brand for the kind of place it is.
The food, however, is mediocre in both scope and presentation. After inquiring which menu item was the most protein forward, an order was placed for a $13 sandwich that promised chicken breast, chips and a pickle. The chips were not desired so the option for an extra pickle was given by the woman taking the order.
Sandwich comes out and is grocery store sized sliced bread with two thin slices of deli meat chicken breast (maybe 2 ounces?). No pickles. The man that brought it informs the table that they are out of pickles but offers chips. Inquiry is made for perhaps more chicken instead. Request is refused because there will be an upcharge - request isn't cautioned about an upcharge - it's categorically refused.
Another order was the soup and half sandwich that had similar disappointing results. Soup was filled with croutons in what seemed to be an attempt to take up volume in the bowl.
Would not return. Facility was clean, service was fine, just inflated prices for food and zero personality.

Dietary restrictions: It is an extra charge for non-dairy milk, but the option is there. I'm not sure on food options. Most food has gluten, dairy, or both. The tacos are good, but premade, so cannot be modified.

I used to be a regular when this was Coffee Shark but I've had two bad experiences at Russels and I don't plan to go back. First of all, I'm disappointed that Russels changed the hours of operation. There used to be a group of regulars who would go in the evenings after work for a drink. This is no longer enjoyable because it closes earlier and the beer selection has been reduced - the last time I was there, half the taps were empty. The last time I went, I got a cappuccino and scone. The cappuccino was not very good, the barista did not know how to properly steam and pour milk, and the scone was bone dry.
Delicious turkey club!

Russell has no business taking the havarti and turkey sandwich from the menu. That was my go-to and it would have added value to the menu. I'll have to find another place to go for lunch when I'm in that area now.
