✨ Five-Million-Star Vibes at Caroline ✨ If I could bottle the magic of my first visit to Caroline on 7th & Congress, I’d wear it like a signature scent……truly bold, unforgettable, and absolutely divine. From the moment I walked in, the energy was electric. The greeting? Warm and welcoming. The atmosphere? Straight-up banging~~~~~think downtown chic meets effortless cool. Now let’s talk food: exquisite doesn’t even begin to cover it. Every bite was a love letter to flavor •••• rich, balanced, and plated like edible art. The creamy pasta dish? To die for. The vibrant salads? Fresh, fierce, and fabulous. Whoever’s running the kitchen deserves a standing ovation and a key to the city. Service? On-point with a capital P. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake, and timed like a well-rehearsed symphony. From the champagne to the check, it was smooth sailing with sparkle. I’m already planning my return ***** heels, appetite, and high expectations in tow. Caroline isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a whole mood. Highly recommend for anyone who loves their dining experience served with style, sass, and a side of downtown dazzle.
The food options are standard I liked the small breakfast burritos. The coffee options are bad Ionly one flavor and it literally taste like strong Folgers. Just gross.

The shop was super cute and they had some yummy options on the menu. My boyfriend and I got the Mexican iced coffee and marshmallow latte and 2 chocolate croissants. The service on the other hand was interesting…… my cashier was fine but one of the baristas was pretty rude. I’ve been a server and barista and fast food employee for years and it’s just frustrating when I do my best to be kind to customer service workers and they bite back at me. I could not care less if you make a mistake we’ve all been there before but when 10 min pass and the croissants are still in the display case I will kindly remind u and ask for them . Which is what I did, I got the attention of a barista and asked if we could get the croissants and she only responded with annoyance….. I’m sorry but I already paid for it and we were on a schedule so we needed to leave. Anyways my boyfriend also saw her stop a coworker from taking the croissants out of the oven and proceeded to let them burn…. I actually ended up burning my finger on it and the chocolate was burnt unfortunately. I’m just confused as to why the treatment. Austin is a very diverse city so I want to bet on it not being a race thing or age thing, or gender thing. Either way I approached nicely and respectfully as I know the stress of the job and only received negativity in return which is just stupid yall. AND MY CROISSANT WAS BURNT AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

To start off the coffee shop was a very nice atmosphere and I loved the options on the menu itself which made me gravitate towards trying it out.
I ordered two chocolate croissants and two coffees which seemed like a simple order and tipped 20%. We got our coffees at a reasonable time, but we had to wait a while for our croissants which is not a big deal since I understand that you get busy and forget sometimes. My girlfriend went up to the counter to ask politely for the croissants which were still in the case to have them warmed up and the girl with the red bob cut gave her a terrible attitude and seemed offended that we asked for the croissants. We chalked it up to nothing and sat down again till 10 minutes passed by and there was still nothing. We started looking over to see how far along it was and the workers seemed to be whispering to eachother about us while glaring at us which was unpleasant. It hit just over 15 minutes and another man in a white shirt to grab the croissants out of the oven which came out burnt and were more crispy than flaky. The guy with the long hair and the girl with the red bob cut both gave it with attitude.
I understand being busy as I myself have worked customer service for years, but this unpleasant experience will make me not want to go here again or ever recommend to others.

Cookies are good but the quality of the coffee is the same you would get at a gas station.
Coffee wasn’t great, but the servers and vibe were.
Great experience
Cinnamon rolls were dry and were nothing special whatsoever.

Great coffee shop in the heart of the Austin Downtown in Alot lobby. Plenty of place on first and second floor. There are some good coffee options and food looks great. Next time I will the the food. The staff is very nice.

Their baked goods are delish! Cinnamon roll is tops.
Coffeehouse at Caroline saved our trip to Austin during Christmas because they were open the entire time despite many other places marked themselves open but they were not! We had many breakfast here and everything was really delicious. Blueberry muffins are out of this world- literally. I want to shout out to 2 team members, Chloe who was at the register on our last day. She was so kind, I want to thank you for her hospitality! As we were talking to Chloe, Nathaniel from the Engineering dept of the hotel stopped by and he also said hi, he was very nice too!. Hotel management: Please make sure to show appreciation to both of them.
