Colleen's Kitchen in Austin is truly something special. We came in to celebrate our kiddo making honor roll, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of phenomenal. Our server, Travis, went above and beyond in every way. His service was expert, attentive, and warm, but more than that, his kindness made the celebration feel genuinely meaningful. When he surprised our kiddo with dessert to celebrate the achievement, it absolutely made the night. Thank you for that thoughtful gesture, Travis. It meant more than you probably know. The entire staff was welcoming and made us feel celebrated, not rushed or overlooked. You can tell this is a place where people care, not just about the food, but about the people sitting at the table. We appreciate you, Travis, and your kind heart. Thank you to Colleen's Kitchen for helping us mark such a proud family moment. We'll absolutely be back.
I did not get our servers name but she was so friendly, attentive and quick. The manager (and also the host) greeted us when we walked in the door and the manager touched our table after our food arrived. I loved the crab fried rice and its addition to the red fish. Which last year I loved the red fish but felt it wasn't worth the price. On our way out, the host helped us with validating parking which has changed in the last year. Also they were understanding (as in, not noticing) my autistic brother who was pacing around the restaurant. Very welcoming and friendly. We love this restaurant!
Sat on the outside patio and it was very comfortable. Service was outstanding. Had the Southern Breakfast and everything on it was well prepared and presented. The portions were perfect and I enjoyed the entire meal. The grits were excellent. We had a party of four and everyone enjoyed the visit. The chicken and waffles and the syrup were big hits with our group.
colleen’s brunch is NEXT level! we stop by frequently for the steak & eggs, waffle, biscuits and gravy & the full southern breakfast! flavors are incredible, the steak is always tender and juicy, biscuit and waffle each are southern scratch made kitchen perfection! you really can’t go wrong and the vibes and service are so warm & inviting. 10/10 every time!

We had an after wedding brunch for my niece in a reserved room. Everything was great except for there was a storage room in the reserved room and there was continuing in and out of employees I could see Everything they were taking in and out. My suggestion is they should put a curtain from the ceiling concealing the the door and it would've been less intrusive for the brunch and more professional. But I want to emphasize that food and service was excellent. Thank you!

Visited Colleen’s Kitchen last week for lunch and had a wonderful experience! The service was truly great, and I also got to chat with the owner, which was a nice bonus. The Steak Frites were really good, and the Fried Green Tomatoes were equally delicious. Highly recommend!

Pretty good but nothings standout. I was excited to try this place because of how creative the menu was. Went with a group of people and we tried 6 dishes, it was decent but nothing sparked a WOW for me! The fried chicken was actually my least favorite thing which wasn't expected, given that's what they're known for. It's a convenient location in Mueller if you're hanging out there, but otherwise there is better southern food in Austin.

Came here out on a whim with my mom, and this place did not disappoint. Our server Colleen was great, and the food was even better. Great first impression overall. The Crab cake was awesome and the Buttermilk Biscuits were delicious. I would highly recommend coming here. This place was great!

Everytime I go here it is consistently great food and wonderful service. It really is a gem. The staff are so professional and happy. I love their shrimp and grits so much it's hard to not choose the same item every time. They are that good! Every food item we have tried has been excellent.
Not sure what kind of butter they use in the biscuits but those cows must have been happy.
