Having purchased their sweet products at other vendors, it was a delight to visit the home base (open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). My first on-site visit yielded a beautiful biscuit with ham, brie, and strawberry jam. A spiced carrot cake with the best cream cheese frosting finished my lunch. For home, I selected lemon curd from the refrigerator, strawberry Meyer lemon jam, grapefruit marmalade, and Cowgirl salt with lemon and pink peppercorns.

The quintessential mom-and-pop or rather, I think, mother-daughter small business that put a lot of heart into what they do. I have been hoping to try out their elusive cheese balls, which is always sold out. But I have gotten to try many of their baked goods - like biscuits, tea cake and hand pies. They are all excellent and baked fresh in-house. They use Barton Springs Mill flour so I can bypass my gluten sensitivity due to the ancient grains that Barton Springs Mill provides. We also picked up some seasonal jam, though unfortunately, it had mould. They were responsive with a refund when I brought this to their attention. We also had two different seasonally-flavored unique butters and they were both delicious. They carry Sourdough Project crackers as well as some items from Abbey Jane, so it saves a trip to East Austin/ Dripping Springs respectively.

I wish I lived in Austin so I could go here all the time!!! I absolutely love what these folks are doing, using Barton Springs APF in their biscuits, showcasing seasonal local produce in their jam rotation, making handpies, and selling adorable giftable curated dry goods.I had an incredible walk in experience as well- the lady on front of me ordered the last few handpies. When I inquired about what they might have in the back, one of the bakers asked if I would wait and she could bake off some for me from the freezer? It was ABSOLUTELY worth the wait!!! And in the meantime I had biscuits with butter and jam (i picked two flavors) and the subtlety of the pear meyer lemon really surprised me in the best possible way.

Been working basically across the street for about a year after my transfer to this part of town, cant believe i never tried this place. The biscuits were amazing; but, the from scratch butter and preserves really set the food apart from anything else i have tried. The butter was so good i was shmearing it on the biscuit like cream cheese on a bagel. Going to be shopping for preserves and most of my home kitchen essentials here when possible since you can order food or buy supplies for your own home. Limited seasonal selection is actually a good thing to me because it emphasizes the freshness and care taken into each product. Lauren was the associate that helped me this morning and was an absolute pleasure to talk with about work and random stuff about the aesthetic of the restaurant(which i loved). This place is perfect for an intimate breakfast date or even going out for a relaxing solo breakfast after a long week/weekend. 10/10 highly recommended to anyone wanting to try a hidden gem on south lamar.

IF THE CHAIRS ARE OUT, THEY ARE OPEN!! Their sign isn't up and the coated windows make it look dark, but they are open! Wonderful service and food. Ask for a metal knife, or bring your own; the plastic knives they gave us broke when trying to cut the cold butter. Great jams make great gifts!

Cute little shop with very friendly staff. Sadly the food didn't meet expectations. Order the fried green tomato biscuit which was bland and the "creole" seasoning was a large dollop of plain mayo with literally the barest pinch of tony charchere's sprinkled on top. The grain biscuit was tasty though.

This is such a lovely shop with even lovelier people running it! I buy (gorgeous local) flowers from them sometimes, and it is such a joy to interact with these guys each and every time.

We drove all the way from Round Rock to have a great biscuit breakfast at what appeared to be a 5 star restaurant. They advertised as dine-in, so we were looking forward to a nice sit-down meal! What could possibly go wrong? When we arrived at Confituras it appeared to be an abandoned building. There was no dine-in or even order-in/take-out. All we saw was a handwritten sign taped on the door saying: text us when u arrive and we’ll put ur order on the outside table!! Are you kidding me? I feel like I’m back in Haiti? Needless to say we didn’t order and we drove to Shake Shack.

Everything about this little place is wonderful. The food is delicious, beautifully presented and the owners/staff are very kind and pay great attention to detail. Everything tastes and looks like it's come directly from the farm. Ingredients are top notch.
