I had a very poor customer service experience with this company. I’ve used several similar services and this is the only one where I experienced delivery issues. I canceled the order, was still charged, and never received the food. I would not recommend this company.
I’m a busy entrepreneur and I don’t have time to cook, so I’ve tried almost every meal delivery service out there and Cook Unity is by far the best.
The meals are genuinely delicious and not bland like most other services. I love that every dish includes the full macro breakdown because it helps me hit my protein and macro targets effortlessly while actually enjoying my food.
They offer both low carb and high protein options which is everything I need to stay lean and strong.
If you are busy and want meals that are healthy, tasty and support your results in the gym, this is the one I highly recommend it.
We've been ordering from this service now for about 2 months. We were using a local service before that and liked them okay, but it got kind of repetitious. Cook unity has different chefs and adds different menu items regularly. I appreciate that they separate items that are not to be microwaved individual packaging so that you can warm up stuff and still have the cold items without having to pick through things. I highly recommend this company. And no, I'm not getting a discount for writing this review.
Cook Unity is an amazing chef to meal food service, it's ready to eat meals like no other. I have subscripted to many ready to eat meals for my daughter who is at school and doesn’t have the time to prepare well balanced meals for herself. We needed a variety of meals that address dairy and peanut allergies and Cook Unity gave us at least 60 or more options. I have never had that many options offered to me. The food is delicious and has a variety of cuisines. The website is easy to navigate and allows you to order at least a month in advance. When you need to speak to a customer service representative they are friendly, professional and understanding. I really would recommend Cook Unity if you are looking for a ready to eat meal plan.
Are they perfect? No, but who is? Are the the best our there? Yes.By a mile. Unity pass makes it even better.Filet mignon, ribeye, fajitas, enchilada's, burrito bowls, ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, mahi mahi, redfish, red snapper, pasta salad, greek chicken salad with pita bread, a double smash burgure that easily makes two burgers with an extra bun, curry's, fried rice, this list goes on and on. Factor, chicken breast, brocolli or green beans, and about 5 different sauces. Cook unity is in another league.
Before you take stock in the negative reviews.....
1. I'm surprised by all the negative reviews, but I will admit that I've never had an issue or reason to be in contact with customer service. I will give Factor, the most recent service I used before Cook Unity, 1 point here because when I needed to contact CS, they just handed out refunds, even when I didn't need one. HOWEVER, I had to contact CS quite a few times over open packages, lukewarm food, late or missing deliveries, etc. 4 months in on Cook Unity, I've not had one issue.
2. The food, variety of menu, and portion sizes make this my favorite service, and I've tried a few. It's way above the rest.
3. No delivery issues, and I like that you can keep the bags if you want or need them. We've even used a bag one week, and later on put two bags out when we didn't need them. I've used the bags and ice packs to transfer my goods/foods to work an hour away. The initial delivery has held up hours in the Texas sun, which loves our porch!
4. If you're unfamiliar with a service like this, you need to keep track of your orders, especially before the cutoff date. They will put together a generated menu that meets your plan based on past ratings if you forget, and yes they will charge you if you don't cancel or skip that week! That's within your control.
5. I will compare this to Factor because it's where I came from previously.
-Right now, I'm really hating Factor because they're sending me desperate pleas and deals to come back. I don't know if CU does that because I've been using them for months with no issues, and do not foresee stopping anytime soon.
-The portion sizes and nutrition are far better in these meals. I noticed someone mentioning bland flavor. Do you not have seasoning in your pantry? Easy fix! However, I've not had to do this. I think it's because I look at ratings in the app for each meal before adding it. My last straw with Factor was getting a meal where the side was ONE broccoli. It's an ongoing joke in my household at this point.
-Quality of meat and veggies is exceptional. Factor sent some gross stuff out. Sauces are amazing!
-I've literally never had a meal that expired in 2-3 days. They have all been fresh, even a week later! I do get Deliveries on Monday, and they expire on the following Monday, so I wonder if that time frame would be the same for ppl receiving Tuesday deliveries.
-Choice: Factor got old super quick and was slow to add new meals. Cook Unity might have too many options for some people, but I love it because I love trying new things. It's easy to pick meals for my spouse because of this.
6. I'm actually done with the review. Try them out! I'd also like to point out that it's a little weird that some reviewers are reviewing the service based on a friend or family member's experience, and while ordering for parents and then leaving a review makes sense, I don't get how you can be ethical doing this otherwise. Alright, there's my 500 cents. Enjoy!
Do not buy from this company. Their food is awful and customer service is even worse. I have a family member who ordered from them and the food was gross. They reached out for a refund but was only offered 50% off the next order. They obviously didn’t listen (or don’t care) when they were told that the food was gross and they wanted a full refund. This company will do nothing to take care of the customer.
I have really enjoyed Cookunity meals. They are very good and so convenient after working all day and not wanting to cook!
It’s so good and fresh!!! We love! 💕
I have been using CookUnity for 2 months now. I have tried other meal companies but for me CookUnity has been the best in taste, flavors and options. I had one issue and their customer service was able to give me a resolution in a timely manner. In the photo attached I am comparing 2 meals one from CookUnity (in the tan container) and another company, you can clearly see the difference and quality in food. I have been able to share this with some co workers who are now placing their CookUnity orders!!

Absolutely horrible. Expensive. I want to cancel my subscription but their phone number has been disconnected. I have 14 uneaten meals in the fridge mostly meals I've already tried and threw in the trasn.
This place is awful they show the meals as prepared but they just send you the ingredients and then they force you to keep the food
Company uses AI in advertisements. Would not trust ANY food company using AI to advertise their food. Sketchy.
Although the meals I selected were good it does not offer enough low-calorie meals for my diet plan. I have a $36 credit that I can’t seem to just use because I don’t want a four meal plan. I just want to use the remaining credit. I left a message for customer service. There should be a phone number because the bot doesn’t always help.
The meals are quite delicious with healthy ingredients. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that some of dishes are a little bland. However, I have been rating every meal I get and make recommendations on what they can do to satisfy my taste. I am really enjoying the meals and there are quite a few that are 5 stars.
I am not sure why people are saying the meals expire in 2 days. So far mine have ranged from 3 days to 5 days from date of delivery.
