I have only been here twice, those times being January 1st of 2025 and 2026. No clue what I had a year ago but this year I ate the grilled pimento cheese sandwich. The “eclectic” cheese blend is tasty, but leaves much room for interpretation. Maybe too much room. Who knows else is hidden in that blend other than pimento. Tree sap? Fish blood? The tears of children?? I dumno it was tasty
also the sandwich kinda fell apart which was annoying but perhaps a subtle nod to Chinua Achebe
Good for a classic, diner-style breakfast with bottomless coffee. Every weekend we go, we get to hear live music that an older couple plays near the entrance-- very happy, easygoing vibes :)

I always have a great time when dining here. It is not often I prefer a specific server because i feel part of the dining experience is the various, unique experiences any place has to offer, but Tamy is my go to gal here. She's provides a level of genuine care, an incredible attention to detail and can recall our conversations from distant, past visits which I feel is more often lacking in the current hospitality sector. Her wit, the solid food and memorable times are what keep me coming back and endorsing this place to any of my friends and colleagues that visit Austin.

Order with confidence because everything is delicious. My longtime favorite is the counter burger with seasonal fruit.
So difficult to choose from their menu! Everything is delicious

Food was way over cooked. I had burnt pancakes, overcooked scrambled eggs and overcooked bacon. I had to hunt for my own napkin and had look for my waitress to get a second coffee. Will not be going back.

I generally arrive after the breakfast crowd so I can sit at four seat table, as I’m 6’10” and have poor knees after years of basketball. There were multiple tables and booths available so the greeter understandably directed me to one four seat tables. The waitress came over and asked me to move to a smaller more uncomfortable table. I humbly asked if I could remain but she demanded I move to another table. I left and I won’t be back.

Had a great experience the first time I visited but had the complete opposite my second time. Terrible customer service (not with everyone, just with our server)

First time at this place. The atmosphere was very enjoyable and the food was really good, especially the pancake.
