I visited for my first time today and was SUPER excited to find a sparkly gluten free & vegan cupcake! I'm Celiac, vegan (w/severe dairy allergy), and dealthy allergic to chocolate, so I almost never find sweets I can eat unless I make them myself. The cupcake was beautifully presented, sparkly, colorful, and the icing had that just right balance of sweetness in a strawberry flavor. It was even pretty inside, and the cake itself was moist and delicious. So often gf products are dry, so I was pleasantly surprised!I also ordered an oatmilk latte w/cinnamon & vanilla and it was delicious. This totally made my day and I'll definitely be back again! ?
I was in a bind for a tea party, and decided to stop in. I hadn't been in a while, and the inside has changed! It's cute, but that's not why I'm writing the review. I called and asked about vanilla cupcakes. They said they had 17, but when I got there, they had 5. Guess I should have had them reserved. Fortunately, they had tons of cake balls, and I was able to get yummy treats to take to the party, which was actually a better choice! The vanilla, salted caramel and one other flavor I can't recall were great! I didn't care for the lemon, but that's because I don't like strong lemon. If you like a strong lemon flavor, you'll like the cakewalk. What really impressed me was the helpfulness of the employees. I was frazzled and in a rush, but they were able to help me and get me out the door quickly! I'd recommend them for their cakeballs. I need to return to try the cupcakes.
Love this place! Great coffee, delicious baked goods and food. I especially admire the owners for their perseverance through this global pandemic and their moral character both in terms of how they've treated their staff and their customers.
Same issue as other recent reviews. The lettuce is very wilted and the bread seems old and dry. Overall it feels like it's a day old sandwich. I used to love the club here, what happened? Coffee is good
Very disappointed with the quality of food here. The tacos were tasteless and quiche was very bland and seemed to be extremely old. The only redeeming feature was their coffee, which was very good.
I love to support small business’ and of course take my Instagram pics… it’s a nice little setup, where you can have a cup of coffee and a chat with a friend! I just personally believe that it’s over priced when it comes to its bakery items… you’re paying double for exactly the same croissant that you can get from any donut shop… I’m guessing you are just paying for the atmosphere. They are very good with replacements. I waited about 15 mins for my drink to come out and it was made wrong (they told me they made it wrong) but gave it to me and asked if I wanted them to make it again they would. I mean that’s cool, but if you knew you made it wrong then why not just remake it? I totally like they are least offered to remake it. Recap: it’s a nice place to talk and relax, and you pay for that in the price.
Our favorite Austin coffee shop. My family loves coming here to get cupcakes and coffee. We like that the location is face mask friendly and has pride decorations. Sometimes there are fun pop-ups on site like Funky Fronds, which sells succulents and cacti.
Was having a crappy morning and stopped in and had a lavender honey latte. Instantly lifted my spirits. Great place with great people. Keto choices too which was a bonus!!!?
This place is HORRIBLE!! I waited two hours in line for a $30 prepaid preordered chocolate pie that was not refrigerated and melted. The owner herself had a nasty attitude that was not willing to replace or refund my money. I would not recommend this place at ALL! This experience was my first and definitely my last. If I could I would give it NEGATIVE 5 stars!!Your service was poor. That pie is a cream pie that needs to be refrigerated. All your pies were set on a table inside the warm restaurant and that's why my pie was warm and melted. And I had every reason to act the way I did. Myself and my 2 young children waited outside for almost 2 hours just to be cut by people that had justarrived. I have every reason to be upset and to walk into the restaurant asking for my single melted pie.
So happy to have such an incredible bakery nearby! Their croissants are to die for, great coffee, friendly service. They offer keto and gluten free options. I even ordered my Thanksgiving dinner from them this year and it was beyond expectations! They truly care about their community - when the pandemic hit and stores were running out of food, they were giving food away for free. They did the same thing when the freak winter storm knocked out power and water in my neighborhood for a week. Will always be happy to support them!

I am a Crema supporter forever. These ladies and their team dedicate their whole lives to their small business and their community day after day. They even provided free meals to families in need during the pandemic. They are always honest and most of all, their food and desserts are ALWAYS top notch. I look forward to their holiday menu every year. I ordered 2 pies a week ago for Thanksgiving that we won’t have because they had SO many orders this year. I’m sure they are feeling a lot of negativity about their performance this week and I don’t think we need to make them feel worse about it. “Busy is a blessing” and I know they will make corrections based on things that went wrong for them this Thanksgiving. South Austin is lucky to have Crema Bakery.
Crema is outstanding in every way possible. From donating food during the pandemic to donating groceries during the ice storm. They always put other people first—also-absolutely great breakfast and desserts. Amazing coffee! They got slammed for thanksgiving, and unfortunately, people took advantage of them and stole other people's orders of meals and pies. These tremendous people stayed all night baking and trying to make up for what was stolen, and while they didn’t get all of it replaced, they did the best they could. They refunded to those who's orders were stolen and probably took quite the financial hit for others' horrid behavior. Sad that people did this to this fabulous business!
Best bakery in town. They bake with their whole hearts and you can taste the love. Small and mighty! They work so very hard to serve the very best.
Overpriced food, quality is just not up to what they charge. They also mix politics into it, not a place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Good coffee, pistachio croissant was great. Service was good. Decent price
