If you want to be disappointed by authentic Cuban food, go to Cuba512. The food was horrible. The croquette fell apart into pieces — I never even knew what it was. The chicharritas tasted like rubber, something that’s normally crunchy. If you want to throw your money away and leave disappointed, come to this place. I don’t know what happened! But the change has been drastic.
What a shame. The drinks are terrible . 😩
Came here once pre lock lock down (2020). It was great then, and still holds up 2025. I got El Cubano and the Tostones. El Cubano was toasted to crunchy perfection. While I do wish the mustard had more spice kick, that is not enough to take it down. The sandwich is full of flavor. The pork is juicy but not over greasy. The Tostones are crispy and the mojo has a nice herb blend, not too strong. Definitely going back to try more of the menu.

Amazing. The sandwiches and cocktail; perfect. I didn’t want to rate it because for selfish reasons, I didn’t want too many people here when we come here. But that wouldn’t be fair to Cuba512

I’m no food critic but I’m Cuban and this was a very subpar food and very expensive. I could stand pricey food if it’s really good and this was not it. Fried Yucas were saggy and seasoned with what I think it’s paprika. The tostones were very hard like they had been reheated, for sure not fresh. And jalapeños on a grilled salmon is not Cuban at all. I ordered pick up and had to wait for a few minutes for a to go order. I could see the order in the counter but the only server behind the bar was the only staff on the whole floor. Trying to save other Cubans the disappointment.

This is one of the most underrated restaurants in Austin. The cocktails are great (we love the Hemingway a las rocas) and the food is fantastic every single time. The restaurant is quiet, not too dark, the seats are comfortable, and it's not usually crowded.
Go!

The food was awful. Ordered the Cuban churrasco and the meat was so incredibly dry/tough and no flavor. The chimichurri sauce tasted off and sour. We had a huge group and many ordered the arroz con pollo that had tons of tiny bones. Maybe it was an off night but we drove an hour to try this place then upon checking out, I was told my bill didn’t go through despite me saying I was charged from my bank and the server told me to login to the app. I had to show the receipt to be believed, felt very argumentative from the server.
Editing to add my Cuban grandfather ordered ropa vieja which also had 0 flavor and dry.
I’m incredibly disappointed spending $70 at this place.

Great food and I recommend the cuban coffee. Friendly service and plenty of parking. It’s very easy to find. The lunch special is very affordable and plenty of serving.

They accommodated our large group. We had one waiter and he was very attentive and patient and dud and excellent job. My food was delicious, only I got the wrong sandwich ordered, but it was delicious and I ate it anyway. The boiled yucca was sooooo good!

The restaurant has lots of potential, its spacious and has great service. The drinks were really good but the food could’ve had a better presentation. The pastelitos beef and chicken needed more sazón and less tomato paste and the paella was a tad bit salty. This restaurant can do way better just needs more love in their food. Hope this helps!

Food was traditionally delicious. Pepe was attentive. Cool young man. Venue was cozy. Small crowd considering it was the 4th. Plan to drive back fron San Antonio to experience the music.
Cafe con leche is a must at every place I go. Miami, Tampa, and Orlando are my usual regular stops. This was nice.
