As a Cuban-American it's always nice to find a new Cuban restaurant. We were treated to a great lunch and excellent service. We will definitely be back.

We have been going to Cuba 512 for many years it was so sad on our Friday night date night when I took my wife out and our dinner was cold and service was slow and staff was not attentive. When we complained about the food the bartender let us know that she would inform the cook about the food then proceeded to give us the bill for payment . Worst date night… place was not even busy!!!

Cuba 512 has been on our hot list for a while now. I was extremely excited to finally get a chance to stop in and see what all the fuss was about. We walked in and instantly received a wonderful smile along with a friendly greeting… we decided to sit in a booth near the window. It was a beautiful day. I was ready to enjoy the experience. I already had my menu planned out, but I caught an eye of the Cuban Flan, and I knew it was being added to the list immediately. While we enjoyed everything we ordered, my favorite was the El Cubano Sandwich and the Cuban Loaded Fries. Cuban sandwiches are one of my absolute favorites and this one did not disappoint. This sammy had two slices of pressed Cuban bread, stuffed with roasted pork, ham and Swiss cheese. If that doesn’t make your mouth salivate… I don’t know what does. Ha! I enjoyed every bite!!! I recommend ordering the Cuban Loaded Fries and the Guacamole as starters. To be honest with you it would make a nice lunch on its own. The Cuban Loaded fries are built with perfectly seasoned fries and piled high with mozzarella, guacamole, and your choice of meat. My plan was to try them and save room for everything else, but you know how that goes. I took one bite, then another, and another… then they were gone. Oops. As I said earlier, the Cuban Flan caught my eye, then it caught my fork, and it finally caught my mouth. There was not much to say, because my mouth was full. However, I think the smile on my face was worth a thousand words.. Lesson learned. Save room for dessert and coffee. Below are the menu items we enjoyed… Cuban Loaded Fries Cuban Tamal Guacamole Mariscada Cubana El Cubano Sandwich w/ Papas Fritas Flan

Went with my son on Saturday before Father's day. Neither of us have had Cuban before so it was quite the treat. We went during the middle of the afternoon just missing their weekend brunch. The restaurant only had a few customers and the waitress met us quickly and seated us. She took our drink order and left us to study the menu. I chose camarones ajillo , a spicy shrimp dish. My son chose a chicken dish with ham in it. You have a choice of two sides and a choice of different type of beans. We both chose the Cuban spicey rice. I choose French fries. We shared a chicken empanada. When the waitress returned to take our order she asked if we needed anything explained but the menu was clear. The food came in short order and wow it was good. Everything was nicely spiced with wonderful flavors. The food was hot and the portions generous. The empanda was large and stuffed with a flavorful chicken and served with a wonderfully spicy sauce for dipping. We weren't rushed since it was down time and the waitress took our picture to mark the day. All in all I could not have had a better day or meal. A real hidden gem that is worth the time to visit.

This place definitely has good eats and a great location downtown. Walking distance to the state capitol.

Yelp says they're open but they're not-- they're closed! All boarded up in fact. Stop with the false AD!

This is one of my favorite restaurants, anywhere! We have been coming here for several years and have watched the restaurant expand. Everything I have had here is top notch and full of flavor. Their portions are generous, so we like to order one entree and several appetizers to share family style. My favorite entree is the pork lechon, but the ropa vieja is also excellent. Please do yourself a favor and try all their amazing appetizers, which each come with a special sauce or aoli that perfectly complements each dish. The tostones come with an amazing garlic mojo, the yucca frites are OUTSTANDING, the maduros melt in your mouth, the plaintain chips are addicting, and the croquetas come with a spicy chilled sauce. Everything just works amazingly well together, flavor wise. I have also enjoyed several tasty mojitos there and their sangria is also delicious. Although a little spotty in the beginning, their service has also greatly improved over the years. Always a very satisfying dining experience!

Our neighborhood schedules weekly food trucks. Cuba 512 happen to come to our neighborhood today. We ordered Fresca de pollo, lechon, yucca, congri, maduras, yellow Cuban rice, black and red beans. Everything was delicious! It was comfort food for me. The chicken was tender and the tomato sauce with olives and potatoes was homey. The maduras was perfectly cooked with some sweetness. The rice was full of flavor. Yucca was boiled in lemon sauce. I loved the texture. It was my favorite side. The lechon was moist and smoky. I'm a huge fan. Will be going there often and especially when I'm craving comfort food.

First time trying this spot. They are currently doing to-go orders only. No Dine-In. I tried the Cuban Sandwich. This was very good. I will be back to try other items on the menu. The Service was great. The food was so good and not soggy. The fries were perfectly cooked.

OMG! This place is great! Just happened to see it when on the way to a client's office. Stopped in for lunch and LOVED it. Prices are great and servings are large. Both of us had the Ropa Vieja and with yellow rice, black beans and sweet plantains. YUMMY! Also split 1 beef and 1 eggplant empanada. Fantastic! Too much food to eat it all. We will be back when we come back to town and will bring our client here for a meal as well. Great job!

Love Cuba 512. As a life long tex-mex fan, Cuba 512 provides a nice option that is different, but not too far from my comfort zone. The staff is great and this end of Congress needed another good option.
