Place has gone downhill. It took an hour to get food at 1pm on a Saturday. The fish and chips so greasy and not crispy at all. The drinks were ok not great. Very overpriced for the small positions of food they give. Definitely will not be coming back. Gave an extra star for the server as he kept apologizing for the food taking so long.

Had family visiting from out of town and we had breakfast around 9:30. We had a reservation through open table, service was great, the food was amazing! Everyone loved it and their banana French toast is the best! My partner and I shared an order because it comes with two pieces. Our server was so nice and plated the pieces separately for us without us asking. Very nice place with great service. If you want to come after 10:00 am I recommend making a reservation because they do get very busy! The weather was great and we got to sit out on the patio.

The food was delicious. The crispy chicken katsu had flavors I want to replicate at home. We sat at the edge of the outdoor covered area which was perfect to hear the live acoustic music and still be able to talk. The live music was quite good.

Drew provided my family and I AMAZING service. After many recent negative experiences at different restaurants, Culinary Dropout has been the single establishment to go above and beyond after a simple (and understandable) mistake in the kitchen. Drew approached my table with integrity, humility, and a solution already in mind. This was such a wonderful gesture, and Drew did an outstanding job at making us feel like family. This goes to show that management is doing an excellent job at hiring great people. Thank you!Needless to say, we’ll definitely be back to enjoy the awesome service, food, and atmosphere.

Culinary Dropout has become one of my fav eateries in the Domain area. The last visit we had the pretzel cheese fondue, which was amazing. I ordered the Korean style Ribeye cap. If you like the sweet and savory style of Korean BBQ with a little heat, you will LOVE this dish. It comes with sauteed veggies and onions and cilantro. I did ask for more cilantro on the side just because I love it. We also ordered the Steak Frites which was also cooked perfectly as ordered. The fish and chips is another good option, and it's not over battered. The Sicilian Lemonade Stand mocktail is DELICIOUS. Think the best bubbly strawberry lemonade you've ever had. If you want alcohol, you can just tell them to add some Tito's or Deep Eddy. Closest parking garage is the Blue Garage, entered from Rock Rose near the Gelato place.

Came here on a Tuesday evening, got seated right away which was great but it took over an hr to get our food. We only ordered 3 plates( wings, ribs, and devils eggs) Our appetizers came out way after our meal which is unacceptable! They could have offered us free drinks for the long wait but I just felt like they didn't care.

Passed this place a few times and finally decided to try it. Not a very good experience. Terrible service on a Tuesday night. Took forever to get someone to get our drink order and another 20 min to get our food order. Took another 45-50 min to finally get our food. All we ordered was plain wings, deviled eggs and ribs. Ribs was descent, wings and eggs was ok. Def not worth the wait.

I visited Culinary Dropout last week while staying at a nearby hotel in the Domain. The Manager, Sam, and his team made my experience memorable and I can't wait to return! They quickly set up a table for me in a dog-friendly area and my pooch was in heaven! Probably the most dog-friendly restaurant in the Domain. I wish I had been hungrier - the customizable Antipasti menu was mouth-watering and I could have eaten for months with just those selections. They have great shot & beer specials, as well as a lot of great cocktails. I ordered the soft pretzels with gouda fondue and devoured every last bite! I can't wait to return and have already been recommending this to other folks in Austin. Thank you again to Sam and his team for a great experience!
