This place is a must try!! From the minute you walk up to the building you can feel the good vibes. The decor is similar to a retro diner/cafe and the food is modern Texan brunch. You definitely have to try the Gigantic cinnamon roll it is a show stopper!! and the churro pancakes were really good too. For mains my daughter had a chorizo Benedict that she said was really good, I had a special that was a shrimp and avocado toast which I thought about for two days after, and my youngest had more pancakes that she said were bussin’. They make their own hot sauce that you definitely need to try, and have fresh juice cocktails made with Natalie’s Juices. The manager Daniel came over and checked on us to seal the deal and complete our excellent service from start to finish. I wish I remembered our server’s name she was excellent, but I was overwhelmed with the great menu and beautiful building. Do yourself a favor and go get some brunch!!

Just WOW …. My wife and I came here for the first time and it was perfect. Our server Joshua might have given us the best service we have ever had! I had the shrimp and grits meal from the freshness to the flavor 10-10 my wife loved her bread pudding French toast… I have to touch on Joshua again the level of service was a true treat ( I’ve managed worked and own a restaurant I would hire him in a heartbeat)

This place is where it all happens. Every employee appears to be having fun and doing a great job making sure you have fun tools. The food is delicious and often different.

I was unfortunately underwhelmed. The flavor of the steak bowl, healthy doesn’t have to mean unseasoned & topped in special hot sauce. Like the cubed sweet potato literally didn’t taste like a slightly sweet yummy fresh baked sweet potato. And our server didn’t really check on us until she brought the check, didn’t off more coffee. The atmosphere and restaurant were cute, I would try again and order something different.

Limited options for vegetarians or vegans. A little expensive for the quantity

Eliana was incredibly sweet and attentive! We came to celebrate our friends bachelorette brunch and they treated the bride to a FREE BREAKFAST 🥲. We left with a smile and incredibly grateful 💕

Daymaker is a new breakfast concept from the well known Jack Allen's kitchen. It is a very festive super busy breakfast restaurant in south Austin. In ATX, breakfast choices are abundant so there must be something great to get big crowds like these here.

The inside of the restaurant is bright, loud, and vibrant. The menu has an interesting twist to many common dishes. Migas plate with verde salsa, Hangover enchiladas topped with a fried egg, huge thick pancakes, cinnamon rolls served in a big iron skillet, and a few options for eggs benedict. I had Chorizo Benny, not over seasoned flavored, great poached eggs along with a biscuit. They also serve burgers, typical breakfast dished, and chicken & waffles. The bar is serving up many different coffees, espressos, bloody marys, several wine options and fresh juice drinks. You also get served a variety of different salsas to choose from mild to spicy.

The service is also an excellent standout for this place. Servers are upbeat and filled with friendly conversation. Food comes out very quickly from the kitchen. Typical plate will be around $15.00. Servers say workday lunch crowd will also get busy with nearby offices. I have always enjoyed what the chefs make at Jack Allen's locations and you will not be disappointed with the menu selection offered here. This is a serious breakfast spot but just realize to get on the wait list early to beat these crowds.

First trip to Daymaker. Super transformation from what previously was an IHOP. Overall great experience. Wait staff, Stephanie, was on her A Game. Atmosphere was bright and lively. There was no wait for us but by 9A on a Saturday there was a line. Food was delivered very promptly and delicious. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes were equally stellar. Can’t wait to return!

Never got to eat. Wait structure is absurd. They treat online sign-in as a reservation and walk-ins as second class customers. Should be first come first serve. Been here an hour an a half and still no table. Manager says too bad, suck it up.
